The pros first: the hotel is very new and has a stylish architecture. The beds are very comfortable and big. We were pleasantly surprised about the fact that our Deluxe Room with Park View actually had a side sea view. We found a bay cot and tooth paste for our 2. year old in the room. The size of the room was ok, but we were glad we had invested in a slightly bigger room than standard. We rented a parking space in the garage which was reasonable accessible.
The cons that are such a shame, because without them this hotel could be goooood:
The staff in the restaurant andthe bar seems not well trained. In the barbecue restaurant one of our orders was simply not taken... we found this out when we had waited for 45 minutes and enquired. Not nice. Also during breakfast staff lacks attentiveness and training. There are two coffee machines for making coffee for all guests in the morning. Definitely not enough. Otherwise the breakfast is continental and good. If you ask, you can even have pancakes. Cleaning the tables takes a bit long, again a lack of training.
What surprised me about the rooms is that there are no safes in the room. They can be rented at the reception. Our (Deluxe!) room was also lacking a closet, which I don‘t appreciate too much when staying for 4 nights (I don‘t like to live out of my suitcase).
The spa is nice and clean. For adults there is a separate pool on the roof which allows to escape the kids noise on ground floor.
All in qll we would probably come again if they get their staff better trained and gothe extra mile to become a real top notch hotel and real alternative to the two big 5 stars in Sopot.

Room Tip: If you need room to turn, book something better than a standard room

My second stay in four months confirmed that this is the place to come back to in the future. The Scandinavian design should work for most people. Staff in all areas is quietly efficient and smiles at a rate, which is way above the Polish average. The location is very good. The hotel is situated almost on the beach, which is rare anywhere on the Polish seaside and it is a 15 minute walk away from the Centre of Sopot and the pier, which makes it quiet enough without being too remote. Pricing is a little bit excessive, especially the restaurants. But breakfasts are very good with a wide choice and high quality of food. In addition, Sopot in general is, in my opinion one of the best tourist locations in Poland.

Room Tip: Any sea facing is great, 203 and 303 would be good for families as they have an annex for a spare bed, we had a bunk bed there.

I visited the Mera Spa hotel for a long weekend in end of June 2013.
The place is absolutely fantastic, well designed, new and with great opportunities for both a couple and family getaway.
The spa treatments are great and the area beat expectations by far. The pool area is well-designed with great variety of saunas, steam baths, pools, whirlpools, etc.
Staff and service is above what would be expected from the area and Sopot city as well as Gdansk city was a welcome surprise.
I would highly recommend Sopot and Mera Spa for a long weekend or a week holiday by the sea/beach.

Room Tip: Sea view is fantastic

The Mera is only a few years old and appears to be a great option in Sopot.
The location is about a km from the main boulevard and pier area of Sopot, and this is no bad thing. The main area of Sopot is a bit congested and the beach is rocky on the shoreline with black water. A nice walk along the pedestrian path or the beach gets you to Sopot easily in 20 minutes.

The Mera is decorated in bright and airy Scandinavian style design with blonde wood cladding and white interiors. The breakfast area / brasserie descends into an IKEA basic range vibe, but other areas feature comfortable bar seating and nice outdoor couches.
The hotel seemed full of Swedes and Norwegians who no doubt saw Sopot as a good value holiday spot across the sea.
The desk staff are professional, well groomed, attentive, friendly and speak good English.
We stayed in a full sea view room on the third floor. The rooms are small and you will struggle to fit a child’s extra bed in the room if you still want to walk on the floor. A tip here is to use the mattress off the extra bed and put your less than 5 foot tall child behind the desk near the window on the floor which gives them a private little niche and allows space in the room.
The room in very minimalist in its design with a very small wardrobe and some form over function design mistakes like a telephone 30 cm off the ground with a 15 cm wall lead and a token cushion next to it on a low ledge – come on designers, this is cheap and nasty. Bathrooms are small but functional with a shower cabinet and some nice pendant lights. Our balcony was pleasant and spacious with a good view of the sea over the deciduous trees.
Most of the pools are located in an indoor area with large windows looking out onto a little garden. This area has a large pool and a smaller one, both made of stainless steel with steps and rails for entry and exit. Two internal tiny Jacuzzi tubs are indoors and two outdoors on the deck in the open air. The pools are warm. You can lap swim early in the morning when they are empty, but swimming in a straight line you only get 15m at most. The stylish sauna area has a separate area for females and a mixed area with wet and dry saunas and a steam room. On the roof a small negative edge pool looks out to the sea. A bar and child free area make this a good spot for sun loving and relaxation.
The breakfast area is a bit like a sale at IKEA. Always busy and a bit noisy, but the food was fresh and high quality with great bread, pickled fish, meat, cheese, cooked fare and two coffee machines with a constant queue for Ok espresso.
The hotel has paid parking either undercover or out doors. There is no gym.
A bar serves $US 7 cocktails, but the wines by the glass selection is poor. The beach is very nice and there are many cheap eateries around on the beach and in the strip of forest like park on the foreshore.
A good solid 4 stars for a casual modern holiday option in Sopot.

Room Tip: Go for a Sea View to avoid the view of the parking lot

Second stay confirmed all the adventages of the hotel. Perfect location, a little bit off the crowd but still walking distance from molo. By the beach (mostly empty), with unrestricted few. Outstanding (and one and only in Sopot) roof swimming pool (audults only!!!). Simple but nice design. Two restaurants. In case of poor weather very nice indoor swimming pools complex. Own bikes if you need. Nothing you could complain about. And the price is reasonable (not low, but ok if you compare to sheraton or grand). Since the opening this is my second and not the last stay. My first choice in Sopot.

Room Tip: ask for high floor room
