Reviewed 25 August 2014

Our tour group stayed for two nights at this hotel, which is located about 10 mins walk from the city centre. I was allocated a good-sized, ‘attic-style’ double room, though with the low roof limiting access to the right-side of the bed. The bathroom was a fair size. No air-conditioning. As is often the case now, energy-saving bulbs mean poor lighting and this was especially noticeable in the corridor outside my room, where I had insufficient light to even find where to put the door key! Continental breakfast and good food in evening, with a comfortable bar. Spa facilities in the basement.

This hotel is just outside of Old Town. It is a good location and walkable to everything. I stayed here for two nights. My room was spacious and the furniture was nice. I had a balcony shared with two other rooms. The air conditioning does not work as other reviewers mentioned. This was an issue as I couldn't leave my balcony door open all night and it was warm out. I finally got a fan from someone in maintenance, I think, but the fan was very old and not very strong. My room ended up being quite warm. My advice to others is to get a room where there is a window that you can leave open. The door to the hallway isn't soundproof so I was woken up one morning at 8am to the sound of vacuuming as well as people in the night. Breakfast was average but if you get there at 9am, there wasn't much left. Also limited number of tables and no tables for 2 people so you have to share with strangers which is odd as this is a hotel, not hostel. Overall, this hotel is average.

I stay at this hotel at least twice per year. The accommodations are wonderful, the staff is very friendly, and the food is exceptional. I don't speak Polish and never have a problem communicating with the staff (I speak English). It has become like a home away from home for me.

Room Tip: Watch city construction; ask for a room away from any nearby construction.

This hotel is a handsome property on the inside, located just two blocks from the Old Town square and castle. It has a parking lot in the back. Our “Deluxe” room and bathroom was clean and was large by European standards, with modern appointments and furniture. I have just a few nagging complaints about the location and accessibility of power outlets, the lack of A/C, and that I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the TV (though admittedly I never asked the staff for help). The front desk staff was cool, but efficient. The real joy of this property was the hotel restaurant. We don’t normally use hotel restaurants, but we had no time to search out an alternative. The restaurant staff was friendly, efficient, and helpful. The food preparation standard was very high and showed imagination against a Polish cuisine background. My lunch entrée was pierogi stuffed with duck and wild mushroom. It was so good and so well executed that we decided to return the next day for a dinner of meat dumpling soup and heritage pork tenderloin medallions. I forgot that good pork could have so much flavor. Travel companion's meals were just as good. The breakfast was standard Polish fare with some Western extras (e.g. fried eggs and crepes), but fresh and plentiful.

The hotel is located in a very nice historical building. Beautiful, stylish staircase, but the rest is so so. Nobody even thought to put flowers at the reception in the same style pots. Everything looked like chosen randomly (typical for no-chain hotels). Stylish rooms and cheap bathrooms. However Spa was nice, with decent prices. Olsztyn deserves a 5* hotel. Maybe it will come, one day...

Great location,Old City Square just few minutes away. From the bus stop across the street busses number 7 and 13 will take you directly to 1 of 13 lakes located in the city itself.Hotel newly renovated, rooms clean but just ok,no wow factor for me but good enough for young people coming to Olsztyn for city break or holidays.Nice buffet b-fast,tasty and fresh however some information that omelettes or boiled eggs are available would be great, some table little stands saying that there is some other options perhaps? If not i would be glad to hear about it from staff working in the bfast room. All in all god value for money.

Very friendly staff, lovely breakfast, bland business style hotel, not so good for a romantic hideaway. I had booked a double room and got a large single bed with single duvet. They gave me another duvet without question, but I was sure it was meant for single occupancy.
