88 stairs up to our room - no lift! Not a good start to our holiday!! But the room was very pleasant, spacious and clean so we convinced ourselves the exercise of climbing the stairs would do us good! Ha!

Staff very pleasant and helpful on arrival (probably soft-soaping before the stairs!) Breakfast was offered to us after we'd settled in which was a nice gesture but we decided to head out to explore.

Breakfast buffet next day was a huge disappointment (but it gradually improved as the week went on!) We had to ask for glasses for our fruit juice, bowls for our cereal AND hot water for the tea! There was very little scrambled egg left and what we did manage to scrape up was cold! Next morning we had to ask for glasses again and we requested scrambled egg - which this time was made freshly for us and served on a plate to our table. Breakfast consisted of a choice of 2 fruit juices, a choice of 2 cereals, scrambled egg, sausages, bread, cold meats, cheese, tomato, gherkins, horseradish, cous cous and cake. I'm happy to say that by the LAST DAY the breakfast was just as you'd expect - this we realised was because we were early - so if you want a good breakfast this is the key because when it's gone it's GONE!

Room Tip: Top floor has 88 steps up to it and although there is no lift we were advised that they were hoping to install one (aye that old chestnut!!!) Room number 8 (when you finally reach it, breathless!)was fine and dandy! : )

We enjoyed our stay here, arriving late at night, we manage to have dinner with no problem in the
Hotel cooked by Tom & Martha, breakfast was great with everything was fresh. Great location
To the old town and Jewish quarters. It's 300 metres to the old town square. With lots of good
Restaurants. I will visit the hotel again in my travels
The globetrotter

Room Tip: Alway ask for,the best room in the house!!!!!!!!

We stayed here in february (winter so the quiet season) and because of that we got an excellent price for our stay. We had a twin and single room (booth with an extra bed in it). The rooms were spacious, very clean and with enough storage room. Small tv, cooker and some tableware. Our bathroom was quite small, but it seems this varies per room. Rooms only get cleaned if you ask for it. We have read it in other reviews so we knew this, it did not bother us.
There is no elevator so if you have a bad leg this is not your place. Breakfast is okay, enough choice to start the day. We also had a dinner in the restaurant, it was good an again a good price. We booked the airport shuttle at the hotel for 60 Zloty (single), the driver was waiting for us on arrival. We also booked a tour to Auschwitz at the hotel.
The location of Tournet is perfect. A short walk (15 minutes) into the old town, and within the Kazimierz district where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. Everything was within easy reach of the hotel so we did not use public transport.
Hotel Tournet is a simple hotel, but I would not hesitate to book it again: good rooms, good food, great staff, perfect location and best price.

The Hotel is located conveniently close to the Old Town in the Jewish Quarter, many attractions are within walking distance, and we even walked from the main station to the hotel with a little luggage.
There are a few nice restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

We got a slight room upgrade for no extra charge. We got the Red Room, and it was very red, but nice and tidy. The Bathroom had a good size and so had the bathtub.
All in all a decent room, the only complaint could be the bed, which is not good on a sore back.

The younger staff members speak and understand English well enough to avoid any issues, thusly it was no problem for us to arrange that we payed for the stay the day before departure, due to an early flight.

The price includes a small breakfast buffet, which was nice, but a lot of it were not quite to our liking.
The cakes especially should be avoided if you are not accustomed to the taste.
