“Great place”
Reviewed 2 January 2011

Very well located hotel. Very friendly staff. Lots of character. Well appointed rooms - though the first room I was given was kind of cold and I asked to be moved to a warmer room. This was probably more to do with me arriving late at night and less to do with the quality of heating in the hotel. I had a v early departure and the reception prepared a breakfast to go for me - wonderful food which made my early morning flight on a budget airline all the more pleasant. A very nice and personable touch. Stay here over anywhere else in Krakow.

My sister and I traveled to Krakow and stayed at the Polski Hotel in October 2010. I asked for and got a twin bedroom on the back of the hotel where we had a quiet comfortable room with lots of charm and very good beds. The Polski is very well located just within the old city....we walked from the train station with our bags in tow and walked everywhere within the city, very easily. Breakfast was more then adequate, Internet and computer fast and efficient and the service at the front desk was excellent. We can highly recommend this hotel and hope that we can go back to lovely Krakow and The Polski.

We stayed here the first weekend in December 2010 to visit the Christmas market. It is only a short walk to the square and next to Florians Gate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean & the bed comfortable. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and was replenished regularly.

My only niggle was that the room was very warm which did cause a few problems with sleeping. We had turned the radiators off but we were still too warm. Other than that it was excellent value for money and I would recommend it.

A cozy hotel "with style" - in a historic building - next door to Barbacan and the Nr.1 Museum of Cracow.
3-4 minutes walk to the main square.
The hotel was refurbished some 15 years ago, but maintained fairly well.
Ideal for stay, if you want to be "out" of the noisy main square -but still very close to it.
The front rooms are nicer, but somewhat more noisethe backside rooms are smaller, but more quite.
Nice breakfest.
Cracow is full of good restaurants -you may easily find one within short walking distance.
Nice and friendly service.
If you come by car - you can stop in front of the hotel for unloading - but have to bring your car to a parking lot in 4-5 minutes distance.
Also convenently located to the new shopping mall of Cracow (5-6 minutes by foot).
A bit away from Wavel and Kazimierz. We enjoyed to stay there.

This hotel was very accommodating and convenient for our trip to Krakow. It was within walking distance to everything. It's right by Florian's Gate and the Barbakan. Parking was extra and a few blocks away, but it was in a locked lot and we just left it there while we were in the city.

I brought a group of 20 to the Hotel Polski. We all agreed that our stay there was amazing. The staff was friendly an very helpful. The rooms were clean and quite large. The beds were extreamly comfortable. The best though, is the location. Just inside the "Old Town" wall with easy access to all the sights, shops, restaurants and nightlife. But also very accesible to the train station and the rest of the city. Krakow is a beautiful and friendly city, the Hotel Polski makes it feel like home.

I stayed in this hotel for a long August weekend in their apartment. The apartment itself was very nice though I would prefer shower to a bath but perfect for someone who enjoys nice hot baths. I read in some previous reviews that someone did not like noise coming from the street. I did not find it noisy at all just as much as you would expect from a hotel on a street in Old Town. The hotel was very clean with nice bar. I would only change the menue during breakfasts as it was quite average and random at the same time. Once they served broccoli salad, not sure why...
Overall I would rate the hotel as very good and I would definitely come back again!
