“A restaurant with a great atmosphere”
Reviewed 1 June 2014

Have visited Miod I Wino many times on my visits to Poland. The restaurant has a kosack theme and often has live music. Can recommend the dish with meat skewered on a sword. When being served the lights are switched off a bell is rung and the fire dance is played while the waiter swings the meat covered sword through the flames. Have your camera ready.

“Delicious fod”
Reviewed 30 April 2014

Tasty low priced meals with a novel way of serving the duck. Spoilt for choice. Portions very ample.

“Old fashioned Polish dining”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We had a post-baptism party for about 20 people here on Easter Monday. For us Brits it was a great introduction to Polish food and the Poles seemed to enjoy it too.
Our party sat in a rear hall decorated with hunting trophies, ancient guns etc - proper hunting stuff.
Starters of bread spread with fat and pickled gherkins reminded me of dripping sandwiches when I was young. Follow by sour rye soup and then pork fillet grilled and served on sabres added a theatrical touch. Pudding of meringue-topped cheesecake before our chocolate celebration cake.
A wonderful introduction to Polish food and dining.

“Great dumplings!”
Reviewed 9 April 2014 via mobile

We called in this lunchtime and had a terrific meal of deer, cheese and potato fried dumplings along with smoked bacon wrapped plums. Service was warm and friendly and cheap prices. Recommended!

“Must Have Zurek”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

I have had my fair share of Zurek across town, but this is the best in city. It's serve with white sausage, half boiled egg and cube of potatoes. I know home made is always better but this is as close as you'll get to a homemade that is serve in a restaurant. Beside the good food, you can't resist the festive decor and the wait staff outfit. Its a glimpse into the mid-evil times. Ideal location to city center.
