“Great Value Hotel”
Reviewed 17 July 2013

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in July this year.
Firstly the hotel is a ten minute walk from the main square. Some previous reviewers have complained that it is not near enough to the centre of the old town. The hotel is clearly marked on a map so I cannot for the life of me see how this can be something to complain about. Unless the hotel moved between booking and arriving, get over it!!
The hotel is modern and is extremely clean. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough to help. They were happy to book trips, restaurants, taxis etc. and give directions. Their knowledge of what was available, and directions around Kracow were very good, as was their English.
The first night we stayed we ate in the restaurant which is in the basement. This is very nicely presented and is also where breakfast is served. We had a lovely meal with drinks which was very nicely presented and cooked, and extremely good value. Although there are many restaurants in Krakow for convenience after a long drive this was perfect for us.
The breakfast was pleantiful and there was a varied selection for all tastes.
We couldn't fault this hotel, and would say it is a perfect base for exploring Krakow. they say you get what you pay for, but we felt we got a lot more than that!

Just left Krakow this morning and just had to say how amazing this hotel is. Very spacious, clean and comfortable rooms. Our room overlooked the castle and it was beautiful waking up and seeing that every morning. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. We had to leave ridiculously early this morning and we had asked the staff to book us a taxi at 5:30am. No problem, got to reception and the taxi was waiting and they had made us a packed lunch as we would miss breakfast! Very much appreciated! We will definitely be back and I will recommend this hotel to everyone

Clean and very spacious rooms with large sitting area. Friendly English speaking staff both at reception and in restaurant. Excellent choice of breakfast which changed on a daily basis.
Good location which meant most of the main attractions were within a 10/15 minute walk.
Would definitely recommend.

If you want a clean, comfortable, friendly and convenient hotel in Krakow then look no further. It's a 3* hotel that beats several 4* hotels I've stayed in. The staff were very helpful and friendly yet professional, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable, well decorated with lots of space. Food in the restaurant was very good. We had air conditioning in our room which was at the back of the hotel so we had a good view of the castle, which at night was lit up and looked lovely. The hotel is situated about 15/20 minutes walk from the main square - we also walked to the castle and the old Jewish quarter quite easily (and we are not young or fit). The river is close by with several restaurant boats. We tried the Aquarius and the food was excellent. This hotel exceeded my expectations by far.

This was our first visit to Krakow having spent quite some time choosing where we was going to base our selfs. We read the reviews on this hotel & a few others around the main square to which we did spend alot of time in that Area it gets very crowded & noisy as its very busy so we was very pleased with our choice;) we did not mind the 15 min walk it was very pleasant short underpath cross a bridge with the wawel castel & the river to look at on the way into town.We stayed 5 nights in room 44 which had a fab view of the castle on our balcony room also had air con which was a blessing as it was hot when we stayed the only thing room lacked was kettle.Nice size room with a moderm style bathroom with good shower room was cleaned daily to an high stard. The breakfast was a very good stardard with plenty of choice which got re stocked constantly which was in an very stylish room. All the staff speak very good english the reception staff Magda & Anna was always very helpful & informed us on how to get to where we wanted to go many thanks. This hotel is worth a 4* to us excellent experience to which we would go back to.

Just had a week at the Benefis. Ok it is a 15-20 minute walk from the main square, but don't let the location put you off. There was a great choice for breakfast and plenty of it. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room we had was huge and the only down side was the lack of air conditioning, but that's only because the weather was really hot.
For a 3 star hotel the Benefis is fantastic and really worthy of the great reviews.

Even before we arrived the hotel had been helpful assisting with questions and booking airport taxi etc. staff remained helpful and their training is excellent. Reception is 24 hr which is also good. All staff well presented. Rooms good value, clean large and food very nice. Continental with good choice. also restaurant at night. Distance is a straight 15 min walk no big deal and there are a few shops near by to get supplies. (Plenty in fact). The rooms are modern with good bathrooms (ours had shower) and some have balconies. Price is very good value for what is genuinely a quiet well run friendly clean hotel. I'd look forward to coming again- the staff are a genuine credit and deserve the extra mention. Ill be sad to leave.
Safe bet and recommended.
