Hotel Kossak was an excellent choice for a city break, its location in excellent. The rooms are clean and comfortable with all facilites you need. The staff are friendly and very helpful, we had a late flght home and we were able to keep our room until 3 without extra charge. We had a meal in the top floor restaurant, the food and service was excellent with lovely rooms over the river. Only two criticisms although there was a good choice for breakfast the hot food was barely warm. The curtains in the bedroomsdid not close, and we were woken at 5 each morning with the sun and light pouring into the room.
Krakow has lots of things to do, a great choice of restaurants we found the food and service everywhere we went very good. We would go back to Krakow and the Kossak.

This was a great find. We decided to stay here on the strength of other peoples reviews and were not disappointed. The staff helped us pre-book tours before we arrived in Poland. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast very good. We had dinner one night in the roof top restaurant and the crayfish soup was some of the best soup I have ever eaten. The location is very handy to town. We walked into the town on many occasions. The hotel helped with very well priced airport transfers. Very friendly staff and very pleasant stay.

We recently had a very enjoyable 3 night stay at the Kossak hotel. We had requested a room overlooking the river and Wawel castle and were not at all disappointed, the room was great with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, and the view fantastic especially at night. We also asked the hotel to arrange our transfers from and to the airport and even though our flight was early so was the driver ! The staff are very friendly and efficient and provided excellent service for the duration of our stay. We ate out a couple of times and there are many good restaurants and bars to choose from, however the best meal we had was in the hotel rooftop restaurant on our last evening it was extremely good and I can understand why people would want to celebrate a special occasion there, also not expensive and very good value for money. The hotel is a 5-10 min walk from the main centre so you have the best of both worlds when you want to move away from the noise and into the calm relaxing atmosphere of the hotel. As mentioned in previous reviews we used Cracow tours for our sightseeing trips and these can be booked at the hotel reception which is really convenient and hassle free. We visited Auschwitz and the Salt Mine with Cracow tours who were punctual and use friendly, knowledgeable guides. Schindlers Factory was a short taxi ride away and also worth a visit. This was our first visit to Krakow and the only complaint we have is that we were not there long enough ! We will definately be returning and will without question book to stay in the Kossak hotel again. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Had a brief 2 night visit to Krakow. Picked the Kossak after reading positive TA reviews.
Hotel is relatively new and this reflects in modern decor, all areas in good condition. Rooms of high quality, clean - we had fab views of the castle and river from our 4th floor room.
Breakfast of high quality - wide selection. Great omlette!
Short walk to main square should not deter- take a loop along the river or a more direct route across the Planty.
Roof top restaurant / bar has great views but vulnerable to a stiff breeze- need to catch a balmy evening to get the best of this great setting.
No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Fantastic corner room with a brilliant view of Wawel Castle. The room was comfortable and quiet and the bathroom, especially the bath was beautiful. Breakfast buffet had so many choices we didn't eat everything and we stayed 4 nights. The staff were friendly and very helpful and helped arrange our trip to Auschwitz on Holocaust Memorial Day. (we are really late completing this!)

My husband and I have already booked for February 2012 for our 21st wedding anniversary and cant wait!

An excellent hotel with clean modern rooms. Convenient position for sightseeing, especially Town Square (10 minute walk away), Castle and Jewish Quarter. Staff very helpful and friendly. Roof top restaurant worth using as views are wonderful. Good selection of breakfast foods and quality also good. There can be some minor early morning noise from local deliveries if your room faces the inner court yard (more noticable if window is open), however this should not put you off.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Outside of the hotel we would recommend booing restaurants in advance, as we found the good ones fully booked in the evenings. Use trip Advisor to see the popular ones - which we did and had some difficulty getting a table at these.

Would definately recommend the Kossak Hotel for it's central location, service and overall appearance. We would have loved to have stayed a bit longer to try out the restaurant and enjoy a cocktail. However we were very pleased with our room and the breakfast service each morning. Our favourite part of the hotel was the fantastic rooftop cafe area which was great for dining, relaxing and taking photos of the views!

Room Tip: Ask for a room with castle view!
