“5 nights in Krakow”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2012

Three couples, including my wife and I booked a 5 night stay at The Hilton Garden Inn in April 2012 through a travel agent to visit Krakow, the ancestral home of one of our party.
On previous occasions back to his homeland he and his wife had stayed in the town centre area but on this occasion they decided to choose this modern hotel based on the highly rated comments of previous guests on Trip advisor.
From the moment we were greeted at reception to our final farewells on leaving we all felt extremely pampered by the friendliness of all staff members who couldn't do enough for us.
The food was of the highest standard and plenty of it.The bistro type bar off the reception was well stocked with again very friendly staff on hand.
The bedrooms were spacious, well decorated and beds were extremely comfortable.Bathroom and shower facilities were excellent and stocked with toiletries.

All staff members could speak excellent English and were very helpful and going out of their way to give that extra customer satisfaction not found in many hotels these days.

Well done Hilton Garden Inn for making our stay very, very enjoyable.Thank You all!

Room Tip: Two couples in our part had rooms overlooking the busy road outside and one couple facing the rear o...

Great Hotel, the staff were attenive and made us feel at ease. Very comfortable bed, wonderful breakfast and for two of the nights we ate in and I can honersly say the evening meal was as good as any we have ever had anywhere in the world. So if you are going to Krakow this is the place to stay.

Brief review from very brief stay:
Good hotel, a bit of walk from main touristic attractions; a bit expensive, but with good service and rooms, great breakfast. I will provide more details if I will stay longer...

We were in Krakow for the weekend 20th/22nd April 2012.. The hotel was of a very high standard, very clean and the room and bed very comfortabe. The Staff were extremely efficient ,friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. There was a business centre available with free Internet access. The breakfast comprised a wide range of fruits, cereals, breads, cooked and cold meats. A Chef was on hand to cook eggs to order.
Altogether it was a very positive experience and I have no problem giving it 5 stars. Highly recommended +++++

We had a recent stay here for 3 nights and found the facilities on offer to be top notch, as good as or better than a normal Hilton in my opinion. Was interesting to note the microwave room where you could heat up your own food items if wanting to as well as full use of the business centre (all included). You can't go past the waffle maker at breakfast too! The buffet was a good spread and certainly had more than enough to fill my partner and I up each morning.

Room Tip: The road side is best as it has a view out to Wawel Castle. Don't worry about noise, we didn'...

This is an excellent 4-star hotel, whose only negative aspect is being 15-20 minutes walk from the edge of Krakow center. The hotel is on a noisy main road, but in our room at the back we heard neither the road nor our neighbors.

The service is excellent, always with a smile. In the afternoon free sweats are available at Reception.

The room is well-organized, comfortable and well-furnished (even including ironing board). The mattress has a new trick: adjustable hard-soft settings (ask in Reception). The double beds are a bit smallish at 140 cm. The TV has several English and French channels, but few of them carry movies. The fridge is empty (just the way we like it), but a shop is available and payment is at Reception (prices are at least double these in the city). The bathroom is smallish but comfortable and lacks for nothing.

Breakfast is very good and the hotel seems to bake its own bread. The weak part is eggs: for any type other than hard-boiled one has to ask the omelet-maker, who brings it to your table (provided he doesn't forget). Breakfast is until 10 o'clock, but nothing is replenished after 9:45, so better be earlier.

All in all, an excellent hotel which we heartily recommend. Although its distance from the center might encourage taking a taxi (for example 13 zloty from Wawel castle to the hotel).

I took the Red Eye/All Night Train from Prague to Krakow and arrived @ 7am. I arranged thru the Hilton to have a driver meet me at the train station and then a short drive to the hotel in a Black Mercedes! It was cheap and well worth it after an 11 hour train trip; plus you don't have to worry about getting cash right away, address of hotel and worrying about getting ripped off from a taxi driver. Also, I highly recommend the 1st class car with a private room on the train where you can lock yourself in the car. Back to the hotel; I arrived and the girl at the desk welcomed me with a big smile and had my room ready; so nice! After getting unpacked and a shower I had a lovely breakfast in the lobby restaurant complimentary (Hilton Gold). To be honest it was much better than the Hilton Prague Executive Lounge breakfast. They had a chef/omelet station, nice bread, juice, coffee, cereal (European meats & cheese)....it was great. After a nap I walked @ 15 minutes to Old Town. Other folks on Trip Advisor are correct that the location is not perfect, but the hotel is clean, new, wonderful staff/service that speak English, 2 restaurants & a nice bar and they will book your tours for you.....i.e. Auschwitz, Salt Mines and they pick you up directly from the hotel. I'm sure there are hotels closer to the action that are older/cool looking, but after walking/touring all day its really nice to come back here! Also, if healthy; the hotel rents bikes which you can ride on the bike trails by the river which is across the street....or go running....a lovely area!
