“An exceptional day out.”

Used Krakow Tours today having pre-booked with Phil for a trip to Auschwitz and the Salt mines. We had Mark as our guide who was fantastic and had a real passion for the history. Definately can reccommend this tour company as everything was arranged brilliantly. Great value for money and would definately do it again.

Would recommend Krakow Tours with Phil Clark to anybody. We had excellent service throughout our visit and Phil and his team will give you a full, comprehensive history of the area.
You will be well looked after from start to finish and be able to relax in the knowledge that you are in capable hands.

“Highly recommended”

This was our first time in Krakow and we were not sure whether to pre-book trips or wait until we got there but we were glad that we decided to do it in advance with Krakow tours.
We decided to go on the combined Auschwitz/Salt mine tour but had left it a bit late so could not get the actual date we wanted with Phil although he handled the booking and our queries promptly and professionally via email.
However I’m sure we would have been hard pressed to have a better guide than his colleague Mark. From the moment he introduced himself when we stepped outside our apartment (he was already waiting for us) we could not have wished for a more polite, courteous and affable young man to guide us. He made us very welcome and was so knowledgeable and keen he made us feel as if he was an ex-pat friend who was taking us on the tour on a personal trip as opposed to the fact he must do this regularly as part of his job.
Auschwitz and Birkenhau are harrowing places to visit but Mark got the balance right by letting us do a bit on our own and yet walking us around Birkenhau and conveying a sense of deference and respect that was extremely mature , again making us feel as this was almost his first time there and he was on a bit of a pilgrimage.
After an excellent packed lunch (which Mark claimed as all his own work ! ) we then were taken to the Salt mines..the men in our group enjoyed this and it is a site to see although the ladies did say it was just a bit much maybe in terms of the walking and what was actually there and it made it a long day..Good in a way that you got these two main attractions done in one day but the ladies may have had a point.!!
All in all however a very good, well run day and we cannot recommend it highly enough, both the organising and of course the people themselves.
They also arranged airport transfers which were punctual and polite and the cost was reasonable.

“Excellent personalised service, recommended”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

We visited Krakow in April this year, and had pre-booked our airport transfers and tour of Auschwitz and Birkenhau online in advance following the reviews we had read here on Trip Advisor.

Upon arrival at the airport we were met by our driver who was Polish. He led us to the car park across from the terminal building, insisting on taking our luggage. His english was limited but he attempted to point out some key sights en route such as Wawel Castle and key attractions around the Vistula River. He drove exceptionally well, and we arrived in good time at our hotel in Kazimierz.

We had arranged the tour to Auschwitz mid week, and were met at our hotel by Mark, a lovely english young man who was extremely friendly and had an impressive knowldege of WWII and the Holocaust, so was able to give us a great deal of information during our journey not covered by the tour guide at the camp. We were the only people on Mark's tour that morning so the mini bus was just for the three of us, which was great.

We watched a film during our journey giving a background history of the German invasion of Poland and the transportation of the Jews and others to the camps, which was harrowing but informative. Upon arrival at Auschwitz Mark took us into the entrance and sorted the tickets, headphones and english tour guide group for us efficiently, and arranged to meet us at the entrance at the end of the tour. The English speaking guide was excellent, and the visit was an extremely memorable one. Mark collected us and drove us over to Birkenhau which wasnt too far, and again waited with us to meet our guide, and met us for the return journey home.

An extremely well organsied day tour led by Mark who was great - many thanks.

I wold highly recommend Krakow Private Tours for all your travel needs whilst visiting Krakow, excellent.
