“Great hotel if you don't mind noise”
Reviewed 25 December 2012 via mobile

The hotel offers modern and clean rooms in a historical building. The rooms have nice high ceilings. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. They assisted us to arrange the tours to Auschwitz, and to the salt mine with short notice. The breakfast area in the basement was charming. It was very nice to have tea making supplies in the hotel room.

The hotel is less than 10 minutes of walk from Old Town Krakow and the main train station which is attached to a high-end shopping mall. Also, taxis in Krakow are cheap and readily available.

Since it's a historical building, the walls are thin. We could hear our neighbors. We had a room facing the front street that had considerable amount of noise. There was no reception area in the lobby. The main hallway could be crowded if there is more than one group checking in/out. There is only one elevator in the hotel. The cleaning crew seemed to lock the elevator for their use in the morning during our stay. Arrange with the front desk if you need the elevator to check out.

For some reason, there were a lot of bridal shops near the hotel.

Great value, but bring earplugs.

We stayed for 3 nights at Pergamin hotel. Short walk from the trainstation and the center. Staff were friendly and nice, good breakfast (not included in price). Rooms tidy and warm.
BUT; Its way too loud between rooms, and from the trams outside the building. We could hear everything from the neighbors, one night some people had a party downstairs and we couldnt sleep at all.
Overall; Cheap, good rooms, good location but noisy.

Stayed here for 4 nights in a triple room. (No.22)
Room were spacious, clean and had ok beds.
Bathroom were also clean.
Some noise from other rooms, and we could hear the tram, that goes by the hotel very often. But we had a good night sleep all 4 of us.
-15degrees outside, but it was not cold in the room.
We stayed on third floor, and the elevator stopped only between the floors. So it was not always easy to get to our room with a baby stroller. You had to walk down/up some stairs to get to the room.
There were refrigrator/minibar in the room.
The staff was ok.
I have learned from this trip, that people from Krakow are not that helpful. Especially when I walked alone with the babystroller, nobody helped me thru doors. It happend one time, and then it was a norwegian couple. Hard rock cafe had a fantastic service. The staff helped me carry the baby stroller up to third floor. Thanks :-)
Location of the hotel were ok. 10min walk to market square and 10min walk to the Galleria Krakowska(big shopping mall).

Rooms are spacious, clean with good beds. An elevator can take you up and down.
No central reception space available (just a corridor, with good, helpful staff people at the entrance). Location on walking distance from central square, busy street with limited parking possibilities and can be loud with people going home with too much alcohol.
Breakfast area is in the cellar, very basic as the breakfast itself. Not at par with rest of hotel, which overall is great value for money.

Room Tip: take room on backside of building

We are just home after a four day trip to krakow. We arrived early and the friendly staff allowed us to check in 4 hours early. The hotel itself was modern and clean with all the features that you need for a short break. The location was excellent with only a short walk into the main square. The staff were helpful and friendly and were able to sort us with a room move due to noisy neighbours above. The rooms were clean and the beds by comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone

This hotel would have rated a 5 if the location is better. It is a slightly longer walk to the train station than I like, but no more 8-10 minutes dragging my luggage along. The hotel room is very modern and clean. The only problem I had was the window blew open during the day and became rather cold by the time I return in the evening.
The hotel staff was very friendly and allow us to leave our luggage in the hall upon our arrival and departure.

We chose this hotel because of its central location, just a couple of minutes walk to the fortress walls of the historical part of the city (bus and train stations too). We stayed in a 4-bed room which was big and nice. Windows were facing towards the street but there was no noise from the street/tram. The room was clean and modern, the bathroom as well but there was a strange smell from the sewer. We didn`t book breakfast at the hotel as we had to leave early on one day and the other day, we preferred an outside cafe on the main market. The hotel doesn`t have a parking lot but we could park on the street in front of the hotel which is free during the weekends. We would definitely come back.
