Stayed at the Hotel Maksymilian 25th - 28th November and altough this is a 3 star hotel it would beat many hotels for style, cleanliness and appearance. We were delayed landing because we weren't allowed into Polish airspace and as a result had to land in Dresden to refuel. We were soon back in the air and about 2 hours late. We had booked our transfer to the hotel via the hotel and were greeted at the airport by our driver who was very pleasant, in fact we booked him to take us to the Salt Mine. 6 of us one way 110 zloty about 30min journey good value I think. Anyway, when we did get to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised. Room spotless, tea and coffee in the room and it was so good to see after the flight, which we thought was a bad omen. The food was ample, nothing extravigant but something hot to start the day. The hotel is well placed for sightseeing and minutes from the beautiful market square with all the Christmas stalls. Had a great time in Crakow and will be back sometime in the near future.

We stayed at this hotel for five nights at the end of November. It is in the perfect location for everything thing in Krakow. There is a tram stop less than 100 meters from the hotel.
The hotel is small and cosy. We arrived in the evening and were checked in quickly. We did have a problem with the room we were given, it wasn't the type we had booked, and the receptionist dealt with it and we were moved to the proper room the next morning.
The room was lovely and had excellent beds and also excellent lighting for reading.Tea and coffee making facilities are also provided Pillows are quite flat so we requested some more and that sorted the issue. The bathroom was clean and had an excellent shower and had a heated towel rail. Rooms were cleaned daily and fresh towels were also supplied daily. Complimentary bottles of water are supplied in the rooms. The free WI FI is brilliant.
Breakfast was ok, but could be improved with the addition of some more cereals like muesli. There are plenty of breads and rolls, cheese, scrambled eggs, meats, etc.
We were very pleased with our stay and was much better than we expected.
We would recommend this hotel and we hope to return in the future.

Stayed in the hotel at the end of October 2011 for 3 nights. Arranged for a pick up from airport thru hotel website. First impression is very good, building looks amazing, inside everything nice and clean, single room on the smallish side but also clean and nicely furnished. Hotel has a lift which is a plus as there are hotels in Krakow without (especially in older buildings). Staff well presented and helpful. Plentiful breakfast in the basement.. The only point of discontent - very few TV programmes to choose from. Altogether an excellent choice with good location.

Me and my partner have just come back from a fantastic trip to Krakow! To anybody who is thinking of going I Highly Reccomend it!
We stayed at the Hotel Maksymilian which is a lovely little hotel situated about 5 minuites walk from the main square. The street that its on also provides you with several shops and amenities. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and the staff were extremely friendly. Upon arrival we were welcomed warmly and the receptionist informed us that we could book excursions from the hotel and gave us booklet of all those that were available. We booked our trip to Auschwitz - birkenau with the hotel with "krakow Tours" and our pick up point was at a hotel about 2 mins away from maksymilian.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good and there was a very wide selection of breads, cheeses meats eggs, hotdogs, cereals ,salads fruit yoghurts and pastrys. All well presented and kept clean and tidy.
The downstairs bar was also very good where they serve a selection of polish beers and yummy cocktails all at a decent price. The bar staff were also very friendly.

we had a good nights sleep at this hotel and our rooms were tidyed everyday.

The only thing I was a little unhappy about is that at the end of our stay we were told that we needed to pay a "tourist tax" that we were not informed about previously. It was only 12 zlotys, so it didnt break our banks, but it would have been better to tell us beforehand. We were also a bit confused of what the tourist tax actually was...im assuming all hotels in poland do this?

Overall the trip was excellent and we had a really lovely time. There is alot to see and do, we stayed for 3 and a half days and did pretty much everything we wanted to do. Theres alot of beautiful architecture and old buildings that are great for taking pictures of.
Krakow is a very beautiful city!

Many Thanks

Just returned from a 4 night stay in Krakow, staying at the Hotel Maksmilian. Wonderful, clean hotel. We stayed in room 52 on the 5th floor, big room, lovely bathroom, room cleaned every day. Good breakfast plenty of choice. Brilliant location. only 10-15minute walk up to the Market square. Reception staff friendly & helpful, booked 2 tours with the hotel with Krakcow Tours, very reasonably price & picked up at the exact time stated. Krakow was very cold & foggy but hotel was lovely to return to as it was always lovely & warm. Vast choice of bars, cafe's & resturants, very cheap & really good food. Really enjoyed our 1st stay in Krakow, would return & most definatly stay at the Maksymilian, Thank you for our lovely break.

Excellent new Hotel, in a great location 5-10min walk into the town centre and 15min walk to the train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My advice to anyone taking the train in Poland - to book online at least two weeks in advance and do not try to change the ticket between rail companies. The staff tried to help me do this, after over an hour - we gave up. There is an excellent massage service available in the actual hotel, which is great to have a massage at night and quickly cral into bed to enjoy a great nights sleep!

I use a lot of hotels for work - and this hotel is pretty good value for money and quality of service.
