“First class central hotel”
Reviewed 23 June 2014

Stayed here last weekend on a stag weekend in a large party - worked out really well - good combination of rooms - actually ended up in a triple with three single beds but the room was not cramped at all with a decent sized bathroom.
Worked out at only £23 pppn including breakfast which was amazing.
Breakfast was fairly standard fair with cheeses, hams breads with a small cooked selection with cereals and yoghurts etc with juices, tea and coffee but perfectly adequate.
Decent wi-fi too which was a real bonus
Location was fine - only about a 10 minute walk to the main square. Would certainly have no hesitation in recommeding this hotel.

Back from a short break in Krakow with the football team. The hotel is perfect, nice and clean and a few minutes walk from the center. It is also very quiet and the staff is extremely friendly. The breakfast was simple but enough and fresh. Rooms were cleaned every day and towels changed and toiletries provided. All the staff spoke English and they were all ready to help.

Room Tip: Don't choose the rooms at the top level cause of the sun coming in very early from the roof wind...

Stayed here for three nights with my wife on a city break. The hotel has recently been refurbished and is modern and spotlessly clean. Ideally situated within easy walking distance of the main square, Jewish Quarter, and the castle. All the staff spoke good English and the buffet breakfast served both hot and cold food. Would highly recommend this hotel for a city break, and trips to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines.

Just back from staying 4 nights here. Hotel is spotless, breakfast is adequate, staff are very helpful and location is excellent. I have given room a 3 purely because I felt it was a bit on small side.

Stayed at Hotel Maksymilian for four nights with my wife in April. Very efficient and helpful staff. Allocated a family room which was spacious and had a lovely view over a quiet open space with double old-style opening windows and window seat. Spotlessly clean and cleaned daily by cheerful staff. Despite being on a busy road we heard no traffic noise and slept well each night. Good breakfast provided in a charming basement crypt. Most unusual. Great location just 5 minutes walk from the old town which is just gorgeous. Short walk from the airport bus stop. Would definitely visit Krakow again and recommend this hotel to anyone.

A beautiful authentic hotel about 5-7min walk from the main square. Breakfast is traditional continental food with some traditional polish breakfast of sausage & onion, scrambled eggs & onion. Buffet style. Rooms are excellent, staff friendly and I can recommend the spa massage.
