“Excellent hotel and staff!”
Reviewed 14 April 2014

We also stayed 3 nights in this wonderful hotel. Lovely clean, modern hotel with the most polite and friendly staff. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. We had a beautiful room with balcony at the back with a view of the castle. Breakfast was lovely, so much choice and perfect to set you up for a days sightseeing. I would love to return soon.

Room Tip: Rooms with balcony at the back of hotel were lovely.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Krakow and had a wonderful stay at the Queens. We like boutique hotels and this one did not disappoint. The rooms are large and very nicely finished, everything felt like quality. The mini bar prices were a revelation! Like many we steer well clear of the silly overpriced drinks and snacks available at most hotels but here a 330ml Zywiec beer was 8zl (about £1.60), very nice after a long day exploring Krakow! The staff were courteous and helpful and breakfast was very nice (buffet style with egg options - scrambled, omelette, etc. to order). The bar is situated in the restaurant and seemed well stocked but it closes at 11pm - very early for a hotel bar. The street on which the hotel is situated is large and busy but we were rarely disturbed by noise and always felt safe. It is around a 15 minute walk to the main square but very close to the main restaurant/cafe/bar area of Kazimierz. We may well return to Krakow and would be very likely to choose the Queens again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back seem to look out onto a garden area and may be quieter

We stayed for three nights and loved it. The hotel is well placed for both the old town, castle and the Jewish area of Kazimierz, all of which are 10/15 minutes walk away. The staff are excellent especially when keeping us up-to-date with a lack of water due to some work being carried out that was beyond their control. Breakfast has a fantastic range of hot and cold food and the free cava was very much appreciated by my fiance!

An excellent hotel and great value for money!

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights at this hotel. It was very nice. Large double room with a modern and comfortable bathroom. The staff rose from their chairs everytime we passed the reception. My girlfriend even lost one of her earrings, but when we came back from a walk in the city, the earring layed paired with the other one in the case. All in all, Great Success! Well worth the money!

Room Tip: Standard double rooms are large an fairly modern.

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel last week. Arrived early but were told our room would be ready in an hour, just time to visit the castle! Great location, everything is within walking distance. Breakfast had something for everyone including Cava! Staff were excellent, informative and helpful, even to the point of providing superglue to mend glasses. We had already arranged our trips (with Melanie from Hermes Travel - excellent arrangements) but the Reception staff would also have been able to help with these arrangements. I had emailed them to book a local Restaurant for us which they had done.
Heard some people had said that the Salt Mines weren't worth visiting - well that is wrong! They were amazing. Visiting Auschwitz was very sombre but necessary, it felt as if we were paying our respects to all those who perished in this dreadful place.
Krakow itself caters for all and is a very welcoming place, great value for money.
A visit to the Wodka bar, about 15 mins walk from the Hotel, is another must, you can get a tasting tray of 6 or 12 different vodkas from a choice of 100 (maybe avoid the pepper one!).
Would highly recommend this Hotel and this trip to anyone.

Room Tip: We had a spacious room on the 4th floor overlooking the front, with skylights to see the sky at nigh...

Nobody would be disappointed with a stay here. Everything from the underfloor heated bathroom to the Buffett style breakfast is top notch. Located 5 mins walk from Wawel Castle and 10 mins from the main square. 20 min walk to schindlers factory, it's a great location. Reception staff are excellent and couldn't do enough to help us with directions etc. will be coming back for sure.

Dear Guests,

I’m really happy to read your feedback. Especially it makes me proud to hear that the reception staff efforts are well received and reviewed. Our location is central indeed. As you wrote there are only few minutes walk to the Castle, few more to the Main Market Square and the old Jewish district is just across the street.
I hope that due to mentioned advantages you’ll visit us again in very near future.
