“Great location and price!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 September 2012

This review related to its sister property Isabel at No. 9 on the same street. The location is fab, just 3 mins to Old Town Sq and the Cloth Hall. It is located on the 3rd floor with no lift so far from ideal for those travelling with child buggy. The rooms are very clean but towels were small and very worn and no toiletries were provided. Breakfast is not provided either though tea and coffee is availabel 24/7 - tea is free but coffee is 2PLN and milk capsule is 1PLN. The Wifi in the room did not work - the signal was so weak!

Its plusses are price (90PLN for single room) and location.

Piotr at checkin was very nice and efficient.

Annoying thing was being given 3 keys - the street door, the hall door and the room door so they had to be minded or else incur a 50PLN fine.

10am is too early for check out considering there are only 5 rooms.

Would have liked if breakfast was included but plenty of eateries in the location.

Room Tip: Make sure you call before hand to arrange your arrival time as I am not sure if you can access the...

Stag do for 17 lads. Couldn't be any closer to the square without physically sleeping in the town square. Michael the owner is an absolutely top guy. Sorted out Auschwitz for us at the last minute and anything else we needed. Rooms were clean and towels and extra bedding was at hand if needed. I'd probably say the only down sides was no air con in the 4-6 ppl apartment and the stairs are a bit worrying for those going to krakow for a good drink. Still can't understand how it was so cheap but i'm not going to complain about that at all. If I'm going to go again with a group of lads then I will definitely book this place again but I will be honest if I'm taking my partner, then I will look for a hotel a little bit up market.

We stayed here for five nights and found the rooms nice, the location perfect (just down from the square) and the owner (Piotr) helpful. Our room was spacious with a big, comfortable queen sized bed and a reasonably sized, clean bathroom. The rates were great for what we got in the location just off the main square.

Room Tip: If you get a choice rooms 3 and 6 seemed the biggest and quietest, but there weren't any bad roo...

We booked 2 nights, but we were redirected to Pokoje Goscinne Isabel, next building on the same street. The two places are helping each other with the bookings. So the review will be about P. G. Isabel.

Arrived evening, warm welcome, cozy room, cleanliness, helpful owner. Superb. You are in the middle of the old town, next to the main square, and no noise. Only weird thing is the heating system: it goes on for a couple of hours, then goes off, no matter if you switch it to the max. So it would be five stars in my opinion, But we had a bad experience the second night. We planned to sleep big, but around nine, some (4-8) new guests came. Youngsters, who didn't leave their rooms - Not all of them -, but 'til 3AM they were drinking and shouting and singing frantically nonstop. I wanted to ask the landlord to make them quiet, but there was nobody in the reception. The corridor was so full of vodka-smell that I almost got drunk myself:).
This made our nights, sorry about that - it can happen everywhere, but I had to mention it.

Located directly off historic Old Town Krakow. Spotlessly clean, private bath and AIR CONDITIONING which is a real treat in Krakow. Street has a kantor with very good rates for exchange, a little market and some eateries. A park is nearby as well.

The proprietor lives in an apartment on lower floor and is available for help with sites, etc. Free pick-up from airport which is a real bonus so you do not have to deal with tickets and transportation on your arrival. Room we stayed in was very charming with a slanted ceiling and could actually sleep four.

Building is over 100 years old with heavy wood and beams. Be prepared for many steps which is typical in these historical buildings. There are no lifts. You will hear some noise from neighboring rooms as walls are thin, again part of being in an old building.

There is a shared refrigerator and hot kettle which is a wonderful little amenity. Room came with a hair dryer as well.

Very happy with our stay.
