“On of the best hostels i have ever stayed in.”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

I have spent 5 days in this great hostel:
The location is just 1 minutes from the main square in Krakow(you can hear the magical sound of trumpet every hour), the rooms were very clean and everything in the hotel was new.
But the best thing is how nice and helpful was the staff.

I spent three nights at heynow hostel with my boyfriend and we were very happy with our choice. The hostel is located literally 20m from the old square and nevertheless is very quite. It is true that you can hear the trumpet playing every hour but I think this adds some atmosphere and was not bothering us at all. The staff was very welcoming and helpful, giving us all the information we needed and arranging the visit to Auschwitz. The hostel is nicely decorated and, most importantly, very clean. We had a double room and sharing bathroom, which was right next to our room and was shared with only another one. The common areas consisted in a living room with couches and a pc, and in a new and well equipped kitchen where you can have free tea and breakfast in the morning. The check out is at 11am but there is the possibility to leave your luggages in a locker until you actually have to leave Krakow.
There are only three minor aspects that I think should be improved. First, there is no internet access in the rooms, which is a bit annoying and I am sure it could be improved easily. Second, I think it would be useful to have a small chest of drawers in the room so that you don't need to keep everything in the luggage. Third, you can hear everything from the bathroom.
We were very happy with heynow hostel and we recommend it!

This excellent hostel is steps from the main square in Krakow Old Town, perfect for rolling out of bed and going straight to the free walking tours that leave from in front of St. Mary's Basilica!

I visited Nov 30-Dec 2nd, and the hostel was very quiet (although you can hear the trumpeter from the square every hour); my friend and I had a 4-person dorm to ourselves. Free breakfast is not friendly for those with a gluten intolerance: basically your options are toast or cereal. Reception is 24 hrs, which is great, you just have to ring the buzzer to be let in. They also provide towels free of charge, and there are large lockers in the dorms (you just need to leave a deposit for the padlock that they return to you at checkout).

The staff was very helpful, and would print off train and bus schedules for us any time.

WIFI/internet is very problematic, though. WIFI is free, but only in the downstairs sitting room, not in the dorms. They have a computer available to check the internet, but the internet was so slow at all times of day that it was basically unusable.

One other gripe: the bunk beds are very low so you can't sit up on the bottom bunk.

If you need to leave your bags here after checkout, they give you a secure locker free of charge, which was extremely helpful.

Overall, I would recommend highly for the excellent location and lovely, clean facilities, but they need to do something about that internet!

We were two female travelers (in our early twenties) and a bit picky so decided that we would book a private room (rather than the dorm)! The room was lovely with two single beds and was furnished nice and was clean and warm. The hostel it's self was tastefully decorated and the staff were very nice.

Location: This hostel is IN the main square literally a few steps away - everything you need is just at your fingertips. The hostel was quiet with no loud noises keeping us awake despite it being on such a busy street.

Security:The hostel was very secure and the staff allowed us to use the safety lockers in the reception - not that we needed them as the rooms were very secure. To get into the building you had to buzz through into the reception.

The bathrooms were clean and we did not have an issues with waiting for showers or anything as such.

The hostel was great value for money as you save money on Taxis if you were staying any where else. In total we paid €102 each for the five nights which was great in comparison to hotel rates. I know you can get cheaper hostels but i would definitely recommend HEYNOW - its clean, quiet, great location, helpful staff, modern with nice rooms.

The only cons we found were the pillows were a bit flat (picky eh? ha). Also at times the shower temperature fluctuated for a few seconds. Also the WiFi was only in common rooms not in the bedrooms.

The staff: the staff were helpful but did not intrude which was good. One con was that one of the men on reception gave us two very small (hand) towels for the five days , stating they were "standard size". it was only when we were checking out that we realised that they also had large towels available which would have made our trip slightly easier!

Overall we had a great experience in this hostel and would highly recommend it.

Room Tip: We stayed in a private twin room. The dorm rooms appeared to be quiet also. Bring a pad lock for the...

We went on November 2012 to Krakow and stay there for 4 nights. The location is wonderfull in The main street of Krakow, Florianska. In less than one minute on foot you'll be on the main square. New and clean. The rooms were simple but enough. The reception was friendly and helpfull. Very recomendable if you go with friends.

Dear travlers,

We have stayed here several nights.
Although its a little bit more expensive than a dorm, it is well worth it.
Rooms are great and clean, staff is very helpful and friendly. And the kitchen has everything you'll need and clean!

The location is also perfect.
All in all a very nice hotel.
Don't hesitate to book here.

Greetings,
