We just returned from a trip to Central Europe, including a stop in Krakow, Poland. One of the great highlights of that trip was the most expert guide to Auschwitz and the surrounding area. Tomasz was a most extraordinary and personable guide, knowledgeable not just about the camp, but with a wealth of knowledge about the sad history of Poland before, during and after the Holocaust. In the course of a full-day with Tomasz, he told us that he is about to receive a PhD in Holocaust politics, and he is as well-versed in the subject as anyone we have known. My wife and I have a fairly wide knowledge of the Holocaust ourselves, but Tomasz was able to expand greatly on that knowledge, and answered even the most esoteric questions we posed to him. We recommend Tomasz as a guide without a moment of hestitation.
