“Beautiful Hotel in a lovely area”
Reviewed 4 April 2014

This Hotel is situated in a beautiful square in the Jewish Quarter, surrounded by fantastic restaurants and plenty of culture. The staff are lovely, and have plenty of recommendations for places to visit whilst in the city. They were very accommodating and booked us a tour of Birkenau-Auschwitz and the Salt Mine within a few minutes of asking.

Wi-fi was quite patchy, but the room was beautiful and very clean, and although our electricity went out during the second night of our stay, the staff had it back up and running within 15 minutes, and handled to whole situation with a sense of humour.

The Hotel is a fair distance from the train station (about a 30 minute walk, and you'll need a map!) however, it is a lovely walk if the weather is good and I'd definitely recommend it! Alternatively, the taxi to the airport took us about 20 minutes and only cost about 90 zloty (under £20).

I'd stay in this Hotel again in a heartbeat and would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for somewhere to stay in Krakow!

Six of us stayed at this hotel. In a great area with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms and beds comfy. Did not have dinner here but the breakfasts were excellent. Buffet style as well as cooked to order. Try the omelette, you will not need dinner, so large. Hotel in good walking distance of most attractions. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would return sometime in the future.

loved being there....made me feel at home. The breakfast is fab and make sure to get the scrambled eggs in the morning.
Nice room, big bathroom and the hotel is in a good spot for restaurants and bars in the jewish quarter..

lovely hotel with beautifully decorated rooms, all in a different style with some quirky touches (loved the vintage style phone in our room!). Professional and polite staff. We were very impressed with the selection and quality of food for breakfast and ate in the restaurant one night too, where we had a fantastic meal with a live klezmer band playing.
Loved the square the hotel was based on, in the Jewish quarter. A little walk to the main town centre but once we got our bearings, this was not a problem and Kazimierz was a lovely place to be at night.
Krakow is a fascinating and friendly city for a short break and this hotel was perfect for our stay. Highly recommended.

First time abroad for 15 years stayed at hotel ester for 60th birthday trip with family. Excellent stay at hotel, clean, good room and facilities, breakfast very filling and supplied with a breakfast box because of catching a early flight. Excellent evening meal far superior to a meal we had on a boat one night. Good entertainment when eating the meal.

Well myself, partner, and family have just come back from Poland we stayed here at the Ester and all I can say is WOW what a fantastic hotel really can not fault it from the room to the service and staff was exceptional. We only had breakfast here and the choice and quality was very satisfactory extremely fresh and tasty something for everyone. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and as for the wi fi we did not experience this and can not see how anyone can take marks off for the availabliity of it the only solution we can think of is leave you phone and laptop at home............................your on holiday!! Anyone thinking of staying here we promise you will not be disspointed we will definitely be returning......................oh and some people mention the bed in the rooms which was outstandingly comfortable

Room Tip: We would recommend room 18 but then again any room would be great

Small and friendly hotel in the jewish quarter near city center of Krakow.
Reasonable breakfast, friendly staff, old motorbikes as interior in reception area are some of the ingredients!
Free WiFi - but not in all rooms - this review I have to write outside my room (a corner room).
Close to the hotel is also the river where you can have a walk or a run in the morning.
