Minor glitches-my first room key did not work and my sink was blocked. Very friendly and helpful staff, wonderful food at dinner and a very clean room etc.

Our band checks into a lot of cheap hotels during the course of a year. This one isn't too bad facilities wise. The pool's decent and there's a jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms, though, are pretty poor and very basic. I suspect you could do a lot worse for a stopover hotel but I wouldn't book it for a holiday break. Breakfasts are better than others we've been to.

My company organise trainings at that place. I do not recommend to stay there o visit Old Twon and historic places due to long distance to city centre, 10 min to tram and than 15 min by tram to reach Market Square. Meal in restaurant was OK, deliciouss dessert. Free parking side is a plus.

We booked a 4 night last minute break at the Orient Hotel, Krakow, with Thomas Cook. We picked up the tickets only the day before, and discovered we were with Flexible trips, not Thomas Cook. When we arrived at the hotel (4* booking) we were sent to the very downmarket Hotel Aster (*3 star, if that). We asked to be upgraded, but the hotel refused. As we were only there for 4 days we took a taxi and found a 4* hotel for ourselves. (Recommend the Qubus in every respect!)
We have tried to claim something back from Flexible trips, but the response is 'you did not phone our helpline at the time. It's in the small print'. Neither my husband and I can actually read the small print without a magnifying glass. We feel this should have been communicated to us personally. Better still, send clients to the hotel they have paid for. Incidentally, with a letter with no apology in it, the final paragraph made us smile. They hope we will book our next holiday with them!

on checking into the orient hotel we were pleased by the surroundings, until we were told to pick up the keys from the building round the back of the hotel, another hotel called hotel aster which had 3* bedroom rooms which we had booked but didn;t think we:d be treated as second class citizens. we were put in beside all the workies from poland and the smokey atmosphere was awful, certainly not 4* as i had booked, Expedia should be ashamed of themselves.

Room Tip: do not book 3*room

This hotel had 3 criteria we were looking for in a Krakow hotel: free parking, wi-fi, and a good rate. Other than that, it was sufficient. Make sure to specify if you want a double bed or twin bed at the time of booking; our room was a "double" but with 2 twin beds. The very nice front desk gentleman let us change into a room with a single bed for 2 people.

The bathroom was nice and clean, and the room itself was clean, but dated, with a thin, old carpet, old drapes and in general, an old feeling. But, it was comfortable and we slept fine.

Breakfast featured a buffet of Polish foods such as fish, cucumbers, cheeses and meats. There were some cooked sausages and boiled eggs, cereals, yogurt and fruit, along with a variety of drinks.

The swimming pool & hot tub looked nice, but we didn't have time to use them.

Overall, a decent place for one night, but I don't know that I would stay there again.

Room Tip: Make sure to specify if you want 1 bed for 2 people, or 2 beds for 2 people.

Me and my wife stayed at this hotel in august. Rooms are decent but a little bit tired.. Hotel serves very tasty breakfast. Swiming pool is quite big but we didn't use it. I reccomend this hotel to people with a car or taxi users [btw very chip]. One more thing - restaurant in this hotel is VERY good - it' beter to eat there than in center of Krakow.

Room Tip: Choose room on oposite site than hotels' entrence. This is gathering point for package tours.
