You go back in time and see/feel/smell the centuries of tradition. Great to see the interiors and: where else can you see in the same display cabinet the nobel prize medal for literature(Wisława Szymborska) next to an Oscar statue (Andrzej Waida) next to an Olympic Gold medal (Robert Korzeniowski)?

The courtyard is well worth a visit, especially when the clock is displaying the procession of figures (check when this happens). It's a lovely old place, access is not readily seen as it's through a narrow entrance which can easily be missed. We visited on a sunny day and enjoyed looking around the architectural points and woodwork details. Wonderful.

Go just to see the clock do it's thing. It is pretty cool. The tour was not that difficult for me. I bought a ticket and waited for the tour guide to appear. It was in English and you learned a lot about Copernicus and university life during the Renaissance.

I really enjoyed the tour of the interior of this College which is also linked to the history of Poland. It is though very difficult to find a tour and you might have to wait for the next one, if available in your language, or, like me, come back on the next day. This makes things hard if you only have limited time for your visit but it is worth the try. Don't forget to walk around the grounds when your tour is finished to really appreciate the architecture and the atmosphere of the Collegium Maius.

The university of Copernicus and much more. If you don't do museums just go to the courtyard and see the clock for free. This is a wonderful glockenspiel which chimes at 1pm and every 2 hrs. Museum free on Tuesday so don't miss it
