“Incredible Interior”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

This historic beautiful church has to be seen, amazing interior, though you pay for full entrance (PLZ7-10) but worth the small fee. Was very busy with other tourists but didn't detract from the visit.

“Not Worth The Crowds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

Too many people and the photo Nazis are everywhere. While of course the wooden alter is impressive there are plenty of churches with equally impressive interiors.

“stunning”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 June 2014

Not really much to look at from the outside, but looks can be deceiving, one of the most beautiful churches i have ever been in. Don''t just use the free front entrance, buy a ticket from a small shop in the courtyard on the right for a few zlotty, and get up right close to the alter. it is worth paying a little extra to take photos, you will want to. Make sure you are outside and close on the hour to see the horn player appear at the top window of the spire on the hour, every hour. looks lovely at night all lit up.

“Impressive and Beautiful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014

We went in during an evening worship service and briefly participated. The organ was beautiful but we didn't stay too long as the service was in Polish, which we do not speak and the church was also quite crowded. We returned the next day on a guided tour of Krakow, just in time for the daily opening of the alter (noon). We believe this is the most beautiful church in Krakow and one of the nicest anywhere.
The church was built in the 13th century and rebuild in the 14th century. Every hour (day and night), a trumpeter plays part of a song from a window in the tallest of the two towers. It ends in mid-note. This commemorates the famous 13th century trumpeter who was shot in the throat while successfully sounding the alarm of a pending Mongol attack.

“Impressive, but felt "Nickel and Dimed"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014

Impressive church on the inside and out. We were initially confused, because you buy tickets across the small courtyard from the visitors entrance. Tickets were 10 zloty, but they charge an additional 5 if you want to take pictures. The inside was heavily policed for people taking pictures without the photo sticker, and that did take away from the experience a bit.
