The beauty of the interior was breathtaking, so amazing, what people did for their religion in the old days. It has a lot of history and was left a bit run down, but then taken over by Chabad, who have taken a lot of time and energy to have it restored to its old eminence, The facade is quite plain as it had to be, and not so so high as the churches, cathedrals as the powers that were at that time didn't want it to inspiring for obvious reasons. During the festival there were some magnificent concerts, from Klezmer ,(the best, from America etc) The All stars, Jazz a wonderful big band, A-wa who are a Yemeni folk/harmony almost pop beat, 3 Yemeni sisters from Istoel, Shura Lipovsky, a beautiful Contemporary Yiddish Singer (Pure Magic) and so many wonderful great acts, it would take me all night to mention them. You would be able to look up on the internet the festival to get an Idea.

Visited this museum during our stay. Privileged to be in this place where Schindler's List was filmed. The museum displays lovely and wonderful information on Jewish culture and practice. Absolutely love it. Highly recommended.

I was impressed and moved by the exhibits which evoke a whole way of life and worship. The white walls of the restored Gothic synagogue fill the building with light. I loved the exhibit that recreates a Jewish wedding, with small dolls, based on a painting. We were told that Kosciuszko addressed the Jews of Krakow at the Old Synagoge in 1794, to gain support for Poland's struggle for independence. If only the walls cou;ld speak!

The shop is a good place to buy souvenirs as gifts. We visited on a Monday, when entrance is free.

This was a interesting visit and had a lot to read- if you enjoy reading this is good place to go. If was much smaller than it looks from outside and only took 30 mins to go round.

Definitely worth seeing. Informative signage in English.
Be warned that they will charge you admission but have no toilet facilities for the public. They will tell you to leave and look for one at nearby restaurants. Really??? If you come with kids, keep this in mind
