Get a room back away from the street, there are street cars out front. This place has old world charm, parquet floors, really high ceilings in the hallways, majestic staircases and a good location just outside the old city walls. 10 minute walk to the old city center.

The Polonia is two minutes from the station and 5 from the wonderful old town. They have parking in a secret courtyard which you can only find and access with the help of a bell boy (payment for parking in cash only).

The reception is manned 24/7, breakfast is good for Polish standards, rooms are spacious but the furniture was not delivered yesterday. Ceilings are high giving the feeling of a nice old building. We enjoyed the stay there and felt we paid a fair price

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a high floor which is not over the main road

Only a few minutes walk from the railway station which is great. This is a old traditional style hotel but with a modern bathroom. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable and a plus was the water was always hot and the shower was nice a powerful. This hotel is in easy walking distance of the old town. The choice at breakfast was plentiful and the food in my opinion was good. The only down side of the Polonia is the traffic noise as the junction of two busy roads on which both the buses and trams run.

We stayed at Hotel Polonia with our Intrepid tour group on a recent tour through Central Europe and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great location just a short walk from the train station, Old Town and Central Square. It's in a beautiful old building, they have great wifi and the staff are lovely - they all speak English too which was great. Our room was very large, clean, comfortable, warm and had loads of character. We even had a proper double bed, which was nice (this is a rarity in Europe as most places just push 2 single beds together). The included breakfast each morning was great and they even had a kettle in the room for cups of tea (another rarity in Europe). The only thing to be aware of is that some of their rooms are in an adjoining building with no elevator so you may need to carry your suitcases up 2-3 flights of stairs. This wasn't an issues for us as we had small bags, but could be a problem for some. Aside from that one point however we really couldn't fault Hotel Polonia - it's a great choice if you're in Krakow!

A beautiful and charming old building but It needs some investment to make it more confortable. Old furniture and old beds in the room but clean anyway. The elevator needs some investment too. But, in the other hand is super close to the train station and even easier access to the old town. Walking distance to the hot spots from cracow.
Breakfast was just ok.
The person on the reception (I can't remember her name) was kind and polite. Not so friendly but kind. We leave super early to get the train and she arranged a "breakfast to go" who helped on the long trip from Cracow to Wien.
The room I got was facing the street. A little Noisy by night but we got a nice view of the town.

Room Tip: You have to choose from view or quiteness. You can hear the trams from the rooms facing the city and the noise start early in the morning.
