My boyfriend and i stayed in Pod Roza from 22nd to 26th may 2008. Very nice hotel location perfect for everthing being situated so near the square in the old town.
We got an appartment which was huge, very big sittingroom bedroom and bathroom all of which were so clean.
Breakfast was very nice with both continental and hot food if you wish also found staff very nice.
We got taxi from airport which cost 80 zl btr to pay driver than pay at hotel reception 96zl.
Only downside was roadworks directly below our window which started about 6.30am every morning we were there.Very annoying we werent told about those when we checked in.
Also pity there were no tea coffee making facilites in room apart from that really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other irish people travelling to Krakow.

What a brilliant place to stay. You would never guess from the wrought iron gates what lies behind. Our room was excellent. The bed one of the most confortable I have ever slept in.The room was lovely, the bedding so crisp and clean. The bathroom was superb, the underfloor heating, the cleanliness were second to none. The breakfast was excellent, the dining room was beautiful, a wonderful place to start the day. The staff were most helpful. A well stocked mini-bar was provided but the only complaint would be the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in your room. Certainly a hotel I would return too.

We can only but praise this stunning hotel. Who would have thought that behind the wrought iron gates a world of shear oppulance would await. It was our 1st visit to Poland so choosing hotel was like a needle in a haystack but what a find. And it snowed hooray! The bedrooms were luxurious to say the least. Crisp white cotton sheets on a very comfortable kingsized bed. Underfloor heating in the black marble bathroom along with spa bath and l'occitane toiletries, not to mention bath robes and slippers.
The dining room was light ,airy and the tables dressed in fine linen. What better way to start the day? The breakfast selection suited every dietry need and nothing was a trouble to the staff.
Only one negative, no tea - making facilities in the rooms but thats just typical of the English I'm afraid.
Great location - so go on what are you waiting for? Book it.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Pod Roza for a week in the run up to Christmas. It's in a charming old building, but the interior is quite modern. Our room was a good size, nice decor, complete with marble bathroom with shower, and jacuzzi bath - I particularly liked the posh L'Occitane toiletries!

The inclusive breakfast was good, and although the Eastern European breakfast of cold meats was more suited to my Russian boyfriend (he devoured platefuls of it every morning!) it did also include cereals, pastries etc. Hot meals, such as eggs, bacon and omlettes were available on request, at no extra charge.

We stayed at the hotel during low season and, according to the woman at reception, were the only two guests in the hotel at one point. It was a relaxing stay - other reviews have complained of loud guests and construction noise outside but I can't say we experienced any of that. Our room faced the street behind the hotel and was nice and quiet.

Finally, the Pod Roza's biggest selling point has to be its superb location - it literally couldn't be any closer to the main square in Krakow. A short walk from restaurants, bars and the main market. All in all, a great hotel.

This was supposed to be the best Hotel in Krakow. It did have a wonderful location. We had an awful room overlooking shabby rooftops. The room was so small that my husband had to crawl over me to get out of bed. The bathroom was very small also and not enough space to put our things. I was not impressed with their breakfast either.
