“3 star rating but 4 star quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 February 2012

Our party of 3 couples stayed in very competitively priced deluxe rooms end February 2012. Rooms were spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. Bathrooms (with shower cubicle) were tiled in elegant style. Buffet breakfast in "La Marmolada" Restaurant located a few doors away from the hotel offered a good range of hot and cold dishes. Only "missing" item was a toaster machine. This restaurant is also a good choice for other meals, serving a good range of quality Polish/Italian dishes at prices much lower than we experience in England. All staff were courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel's position is probably second to none, being located just a few short steps from the main square Rynek Glowny. We must return !

Just returned from a great stay in the Rezydent Hotel. As we were booking easyjet flights they offered us this hotel for just over £10 a night each, needless to say we were slightly concerned as to what we would recieve on arrival. We stayed in room 16, a superior double, spotlessly clean, newly refurbed and very well decorated. We had to climb a few stairs to get to it but it was well worth the hike ! The location is spot on, close by to all local sites, shops, bars and restaurants. Having breakfast in next door restaurant was very good, a large variety of continental food on offer. Friends from home gave us contact details for " bobstaxi" an english speaking guide. Bob collected us from airport and then we booked tours with him. He picked us up at our hotel and gave us 1st class tours to all sights. This saves time waiting on coach pick-up and dropping off, checked prices and he is slightly cheaper than big organised tours. Would reccommend him to anyone going to krakow. A fantastic weekend all round.

Room Tip: There is no lift in annex, so if you have any problem climbing request a ground floor room if possib...

The hotel is located only meters from the main square in Krakow's old city, Stare Miasto. It is situated within walking distance from all the interesting sights in the city (10 minutes walk to the Wavel Castle, and 15 to Kazimierz). We had a Superior room, which was newly refurbished, and beautifully decorated in brown and purple. It was very clean, the maids did a wonderful job. These are also the only rooms that are located in the main building, and the only ones with an elevator (nice to have when your room is on the third floor). I do not think that the rooms located in the neighbouring buildings have been refurbished yet. I was a bit disappointed at first glance, because our room with two large windows were overlooking a wall, but we talked to a couple who stayed at a hotel at the main square, with windows facing that way, and they had trouble sleeping at night due to noice from partying people walking by.... Our room was totally quiet, which was nice when we were tired after a long day of sightseeing.

The breakfast buffet is served in the nearby italian restaurant "Marmolada" (10 meters from the hotels enterance). They had both cereal, bread, omelets, yogurts, juices, milk, eggs, cheeses, meats, greek salads, tzatziki, etc. Everything was delicious and as you would expect from a "continental breakfast". Could have had a few more chioces in bread though...

All in all, I would absolutely stay here again, in the same type of room, and can also recommend it to anyone! For about 4o Euros a night, this place was nothing short of a bargain!!

Room Tip: If you want a quiet room, ask for one high up, not facing the street (Grodzka). You can't go wro...

Stayed here for two nights in February and found it to be good value for money. It's situated right on the Square and very central to the main attractions and bars. We stayed when the weather was bitterly cold - even for Poland and found the rooms to be very warm and cosy. I looked at the thin duvet cover on arrival and thought I might be in for a chilly nights sleep, so was pleasantly surprised to find how warm it was.
Our room was in the block just across the courtyard and up several stairs and then along an outside balcony and another flight of stairs. This was not a problem for us, but if you struggle with stairs you need to request a room in the main block as it has a lift to get to the rooms. We went with another couple and we were pleasantly surprised to find that our rooms were side by side each with a lock and we also had another door that served as access to the two rooms that also had a lock, which made us feel very secure and would be ideal for a family. The rooms were very clean and well furbished with plenty of wardrobe space and comfortable beds and the bathroom was very modern. Our towels were changed on both days and the cleanliness of the rooms and Hotel in general was excellent.
For breakfast you need to leave the hotel and walk along the pavement to get to the restaurant a few doors down. It did seem strange putting on several layers of clothes to go for breakfast, but it added to the fun, especially as the restaurant was very warm and cosy and we had to peel all of the layers of clothing off again as soon as we arrived. Not the place to go if you are hoping for a full English breakfast, but we were not really wanting that. The food was really good and a good variety was offered, with as much tea or coffee as you wanted. The staff are constantly topping up and making sure that everything is well stocked, so no hanging around and waiting for anything to be replenished.
We had booked a trip with UNIVERS-TRANS and the service was excellent. The minibus arrived in good time and the whole trip was very well organised. When our driver was dropping us off he asked if we needed transport back to the Airport the next morning and if so it would cost 70 Zlotte, as the Hotel wanted 100 Zlotte to arrange this we decided we would go with him. The journey from the airport was 70 Zlotte so be warned that it is more expensive to arrange it with the Hotel. Again the driver arrived a little before time and the service was excellent.
The bars around the square are fantastic. Again if you struggle with stairs some of them may be a problem for you as many of them are in cellars. There are also many bars at ground level so finding places to eat or have a drink will not be too much of a problem.
Really good hotel and fantastic weekend and we are considering returning at some time - perhaps in the warmer weather. We will book this Hotel again if we do as it was very good value.

Room Tip: Book a room in the main block if you struggle with stairs and need to use a lift.

Stay during two nights and have to say: This place is very good. The hotel is very close to main attractions and the service is unretouchtable. The room is huge with spotless cleaning, the breakfast is served at marmolada restaurant ( at the side of the hotel) with plenty of eating options and great food quality. The staff is kind and fast for check in/out procedures.
You will be not disappointed. Worth every cent payed.

Room Tip: Bathroom are brand new and rooms are quite and spacious.

Myself and partner stayed here for a short break and can not stress how ideal the location of the hotel is. There is no need to make use of the local transport if you like walking as all of the restaurants/sightseeing locations are in walking distance.

Despite previous reviews, we very very impressed with the breakfast, which was of very good quality and lots to choose from.

We were lucky enough to get a free upgrade on arrival and the room was extremely spacious and immaculately clean. The only downside when staying in winter was the shower water temperature, no matter what time of the day the water was only luke warm. Apart from that we had a great time in Krakow and would highly recommend the hotel.

Very helpful staff also!!
