“Best located hotel!”
Reviewed 22 May 2014

You can't get a better located hotel than Wentzl. We stayed right in the center of Krakow market/main square. We also got a room with the view of the square - it was spectacular! Also, the hotel staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were beautiful with top star accommodations like robes, slippers, excellent shower, espresso/tea machines in the room, and delicious breakfast in a beautiful dining room. This hotel feels much fancier than what we paid - it was truly a great value, and we would definitely stay here again. Again - the biggest plus is the location, you're right in the heart of Krakow!

This probably the only hotel in the main square in the old town and is perfectly placed for walking trips to any of the town's attractions. The staff were all most helpful and the service was immaculate. It is undoubtedly the ideal small hotel from which to enjoy Krakow.

Room Tip: We had room 24 which looks onto the square which was just what we wanted but one should be aware tha...

This hotel is on the main square and a perfect location to explore the city and beyond. The hotel reception staff are wonderful, especially Natalia. They can help you book taxis to and from the airport and trips to wherever you want to go.
The room was quite dark, but lovely and full of character with a view to die for. The beds were comfortable and all the normal facilities were provided, hairdryer, robes, clean towels twice a day when needed, an array of toiletries, iron, ironing board and safe.
Cars are not allowed in the square during the day, so our taxi dropped us off a few metres away, but that wasn't a problem at all and worth it to be in the square.
I miss this place already and want to return soon. Krakow is full of places to explore and this hotel is in the prime location to do just that.

Room Tip: Choose a room that faces the square if you can. We had room 35 which had a lovely view especially in...

The hotel was perfectly situated on the main square and fantastic value for money. The room was spotless and quiet with all the amenities you could want. The staff couldn't have been more helpful.
Perfect for a short break.

I made my res months ago but I think TA headed me in the right direction.
Located directly fronting the old town square, at the end of the door to the cloth hall and directly across the square from St Mary' s Church, this may be the only hotel located IN the square. It is 4 stars by rating. Our lovely room, number 35, could not have been more comfortable (ok, an American mattress would have been appreciated) with it's oriental rugs, twin beds, comfy high back chair and sofa. The silks used throughout the hotel are magnificent. The dining room on 1 (2nd floor) is sooooo beautiful---talk about birds, and huge silk drapes, and fabulous glass lighting fixtures. Breakfast is served there by the hotel: huge array of cold foods and hot eggs to order. In the evening another firm serves very elegant dinners-- a must for 1 night.

The staff were lovely all around. Robert, the "man-Friday" took very good care of us helping with luggage and driving the car to the parking lot and back as needed. (Parking $25/day). You cannot drive into the square but the hotel has a spot for drop off on the adjacent street and Robert will come there for your luggage--ask ahead of time for street name--a gps REALLY helps.

Our bathroom was large and very nice with nice amenities. Combo tub and shower--high sided.

The room was about $270 a night but worth every penny-- incl breakfast.

We would return in a heartbeat.

We truly enjoyed our time in Krakow and their restaurant recommendations were really good. Our driver took us during 3 of our 4 days to the different tourist attractions we wanted to visit. Auschwitz, the Salt Mines and on the way back made a stop with us to the Schindler Factory (which was not on the program).

Room Tip: We stayed on the 2nd floor overlooking the plaza. It was a beautiful room.
