This hotel is tucked away in a side street and the room was simple yet quaint. I had booked the room on comments made by previous visitors.

At first there was not much help from staff and I was wondering whether I had read the right comments. Maybe I had the wrong hotel. But along came Agnieszka who saved the day. An absolute delight who went out of her way to make our stay so comfortable. Can't speak highly enough of her. Thanks for your superior customer service!

Stayed 4 nights in this hotel, spotless bathroom, lovely hot water, clean room, asked for another pillow on the first night and by the time I returned it was in place.
Plenty of everything for breakfast.
Staff all very polite and obliging...... free coffee in small lounge all day long.
Excellent value for money.
Would happily stay there again.

Room Tip: my friend and I had single rooms which were facing the inner area of hotel which were noise free...

We stayed in this hotel at end of March for four nights as a family with our two sons. The best thing about this hotel is its closeness to the main square in Krakow it really is within walking distance to the square, castle etc - this saves on taxi or transport costs. The rooms were basic but adequate for a short stay, the rooms were clean and the bathroom was clean too with a nice shower and hairdryer. There was a wi-fi password for guests to use which was handy and the hotel had a system to store valuables which is also a good thing. There was a free water supply with cool water on each floor which was handy. The breakfast was served up to 10 am which was good for us and included fresh bread and rolls, cooked meats and cheeses and fruits, cereals etc. There was some Polish fare which we did not really know what it was but in general I think most people would be able to find something to please them from the breakfast. One negative thing on a couple of nights there were a large group of kids/teenagers staying I think it was a school trip and they were very noisy in particular on the 4 th floor I think this floor has the bigger family style rooms - so a tip may be to keep away from that floor. In conclusion this is a clean, functional hotel, in an ideal location - Its not luxury but its clean and functional and great for a short stay or 3-4 days. The Huntley family.

Room Tip: keep away from 4 th floor - we were handy on the 1st floor

We stayed here 5-9 January 2014. We arrived at night and got a cab from balice airport for 40 zlotys (about £8.50) on arrival we were welcomed nicely and went to our room. The room was compact but had everything we needed. A nice bathroom and a wardrobe and table and two chairs. We overlooked the street which was quiet. The beds were comfy but we did need to ask for extra pillows the next morning. They were there when we returned at night. The bathroom was very nice with toiletries and a good powerful shower. Breakfast had a nice selection but sadly as other reviewers have said the food there was not fresh. I saw the same food out each of the days we stayed. Meat products were regularly taken away to be re chilled the twenty minutes later they'd be back. By the end of our stay the cheese and meats were not looking good at all. The coffe was nice though and there was a toaster so you could toast the slightly stale bread. Breakfast wasn't enough to spoil our trip though and what the hotel lost in breakfast points in gained in being in a great location. Two minutes away from the planty area which marks the border of the old town. Florians gate and the barbican are a short walk or you can just cross planty and walk straight down into the market quare in ten minutes. Krakow is a very compact city so nowhere is far from anywhere really. There's a local market just at the end of the street which was great for a look around and to pick up some incredibly cheap local bargains. Gloves slippers etc. even from wawel castle it was only 20 minutes walk to get back to the hotel and the Jewish quarter about half an hour if you weren't distracted by the lovely shops!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in krakow , lots to see and yet it retains a friendly local feel. This hotel is ideally placed to enjoy all it's attractions. To sum up its a great budget option for those who aren't looking for luxury but for for a cosy comfy place to sleep.

We booked a three night stay here on 12 Oct 13. Arrived late evening to be told that we were being moved to their sister hotel as they were having issues with their water system. Staff were very helpful, booked and paid for a taxi to take us to the other hotel and told to come back the following day for check in at lunch time. Inconvenient for us as we had planned to go to the salt mines, a trip that required us to leave at 9 am. The other hotel (ascot) was lovely, much more modern than atrium and breakfast was ok too.
Back to Atrium, hotel was good. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a let down, not a lot of choice. we also booked Austwich trip through the hotel, private minibus to and from.
Location was excellent, five/ten minute walk from the main square. Five minutes away also was the main bus terminal and shopping mall, definitely worth a visit. Got the bus to airport from here, very very cheap, but does take about 50 minutes.
Overall, great trip and great value for money. We could not believe how cheap food/drink was! I would reccomend Hotel Atrium to anyone! Even after our bumpy start.

The staff was extremely friendly, the breakfasts were very good, and the hotel is within walking distance of the old market square and bus station/train station. Because it was extremely basic, and the walls are paper-thin (I could often hear my neighbors), I probably wouldn't stay here again, because there are so many other interesting hotels and hostels to try for next time.
