In the heart of Old town, Krakow! Not a luxury hotel but all you need for a city vacation.
We did not have breakfast included, but went to the Milkbar two blocks uo the street every morning, much better! All you need…

Room Tip: Avoid the street?

Me and my wife spent long weekend at Campanile hotel. Hotel is very modern, room is clean and spacious, bathroom is very good. Bed is spacious, quite comfortable although there was only one blanket for 2 people. Location is very central, just 200 m from the grand market square and all the sightseeings of old city of Krakow. Some nice bars and restaurants are located nearby.
Service is excellent and fast, receptionists speak fluent English and answered our questions on the city, gave directions etc. A couple of small problems (water flow too weak in the shower, TV remote not working properly) were rapidly resolved. Upon our departure we also used luggage room. We didn't order breakfast as it was overpriced though.
The only problem for us was the noise from the street Sw Thomasza which our window was facing. There was a conservatoire across the hotel and a couple of student pubs nearby which made a lot of noise late in the evening. I would strongly recommend much calmer side facing the park.

Room Tip: Rooms facing park are quiter, as street Thomasz gets very noisy in the evening!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your comments following your stay with us at Campanile Cracow. Our hotel is situated in a peaceful historical area, however sometimes it can be louder at night from the street Tomasza. We are glad you had such an enjoyable stay here and look forward to welcoming you back.

Modern and slightly stylish hotel facing a park respectively Green Belt in walking distance to train central station and Old Town as well as Kasiermirez (ca 15min). Friendly staff, large and clean rooms and spacious bathroom. Breakfast was avarage quality, missing items have been replaced fast. No fridge in the room. Due to closeby tram and their old rails as well as old cars it was quite noisy during operation hours. WLAN very slow as well as public PC in lobby, Anyhow I felt ration price/quality was ok. Would stay there again

Room Tip: upper floors and facing side lane towards Old Center

Excellent location (near the main square of Krakow) , friendly staff, comfortable and clean room (324) with tea and coffee facilities .
No fridge, no safe-box in the room. The toilet was positioned too high (so was inconvenient).

Stayed at the Campanile Krakow August 2013 and it was just perfect place to stay for location. The rooms were very basic but very clean and the bed was bigger than a king size and comfortable. There are Tea and Coffee facillities in the room. In the bathroom soap and shampoo is supplied from a canister attached to the tiles. Just be careful when taking a shower as I accidently floaded the floor a few times due to the rubbish fitting shower curtain. The Hotel location is just perfect for the main square of Krakow. It over looks the park that surrounds the whole of the main square area. We enjoyed our stay at the Campanile that we have booked again for August this year.
If you are planning days out do not buy tickets from the hotel as they are slighty dearer. We shopped around and got a really good price from a little shop on Mikolajska (street) next door to Restauracja Rooster. Good deals for trips to Auschwitz and the salt mines. Also top tip, buy a very small amount of Polish Zolty in England just enough for the train fare from the airport (about 13 zolty) to Krakow then exchange your lovely English Pounds to Polish Zolty in one of the many kiaos as the exchange rate is much better.

Two couples in forties/fifties. Three-night stay in April on Bed & Breakfast basis through Booking.com, booked six months in advance when the reviews on Trip Advisor were all very good.

Hotel is located in Stare Miasto, the old town centre of Krakow, and was really easy to find on foot from the Krakow Glowny main railway/bus station having transferred by bus 292 from Balice Airport. (Less than 4PLN per person for pleasant 40-minute bus ride – bus stop located out at the front of terminal, go right for about 50m and there is a bus shelter with a ticket machine inside – takes PLN notes so don’t panic if you don’t have coins yet).

Within five minutes of walking through Planty Park we were checking in. On arrival we were impressed with the bright, clean and spacious reception area and were greeted by a pleasant and helpful Receptionist. We were promptly checked into our adjoining rooms (not requested to be adjoining for any particular reason, but very useful when travelling as a foursome and knowing when your friends are ready to head out into town).

I would compare the rooms as somewhere between UK Premier Inn and Travelodge – clean, comfortable bed, really good shower with soap, shower gel & towels, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, sufficient wardrobe and storage space, making it an ideal short break base without breaking the bank. I would, however, have liked two pillows each instead of one, and mine in particular was very lumpy. I could have complained at reception but it was such a minor issue I always forgot when walking past reception. If you’re fussy about your pillows you probably take your own anyway?

Breakfast is served in the restaurant overlooking the park which is a lovely way to start your day. Staff were quiet and cleared empties without you really noticing them. The breakfast offering is of a continental nature, with nice tea, coffee and juices, as well as all the salads, hard boiled eggs, cold meats that our European neighbours enjoy, together with warm croissants, bread rolls and sliced bread you could toast (toaster was on the slow side but was clean and it worked). There were three types of cereals. Also there was a small offering of hot breakfast that was usually a scrambled egg (very nice and clearly made with fresh eggs, not watery like at some of the Travelodges we’ve stayed at), together with a variety of sausage, tended to be frankfurters which I personally am OK with but my husband hates. So, scrambled egg on toast with a cup of tea is fine, but don’t panic because there are plenty of restaurants within very easy reach who I’m sure will serve up a delicious breakfast to your liking.

We left the hotel entrance on Sw. Tomasza, kept walking straight along the lovely cobbled street (with very little traffic) and within 5 minutes arrived at the junction with Sw. Florianska, took a left turn and were in the Market Square. A large, beautiful open space surrounded by wonderful architecture and the edges are lined with restaurants. Needless to say most of our afternoons during our three day stay were spent here watching the world go by whilst enjoying a few pints of Zwiec lager (“zhivvy-its”). Very nice.

As a first time tourist to Poland I was slightly apprehensive about finding my way around, but with the knowledge that the Planty Park circles the town centre and the hotel was located right next to the park, my worries disappeared as soon as I arrived. If you get lost or lose each other for any reason, head out to the Planty Park and keep going until you see the hotel! Easy! I must say that the location of the hotel really made our break enjoyable because it was so central. We didn’t have to pack heavy backpacks for the day ahead, if we forgot anything we were never that far away from the hotel so could pop back and collect something, change clothes for later etc, without wasting time.

Room 616 - We were pleased with the general spacious feel of our room. Simple plain décor and furniture.
- ENTRANCE LOBBY with place to hang coats etc.
- BATHROOM with tiled floors and walls. SUPERB WALK IN SHOWER! Heated towel rail and two clean and reasonable quality towels. Soap and Shower Gel dispensers. Handy shelf for toiletries etc.
- BEDROOM had a single wardrobe. Extra towel stored in wardrobe. Bedside tables and lamps each side. Telephone. Dressing table with tea/coffee making facilities, lamp, plenty of power sockets for chargers etc. Full length mirror on the wall, but no power sockets located near it to use a hairdryer, straighteners with the use of a mirror. Double bed. Only two pillows. TV, although we rarely used it, had British News.
- GENERALLY: Key Card operated room, near the lift, with air conditioning, although this wasn’t working during our stay and the room was VERY warm. No safe in the room. We were told Wi-Fi was available with a password they provided us with but neither I nor my friend in another room ever managed to make a connection. (There is a free to use pc in the entrance lobby which worked fine for me). Room was cleaned and made up daily to a high standard. Secure, comfortable and very quiet surroundings.

I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO YOU AND IF I WAS EVER TO RETURN TO KRAKOW I WOULD BOOK TO STAY HERE. IT IS IDEALLY LOCATED TO GET TO KNOW THIS BEAUTIFUL CITY.

It's better than 3 star rating. I would say 3.5 to 4. clean and comfortable. Good breakfast selection. Good breakfast choice and shops are walking distance away. I would recommend this hotel if you want a nice comfortable stay.

Room Tip: If you are looking for a good 3 star hotel this is a good place.
