“Good Location- good value”
Reviewed 2 March 2007

We stayed in the Campanile last month. The location is excellent, on the North edge of the Old Town, 5 minutes from the Market Sq. and Railway station. Difficult to get to if driving though. All our rooms were quite basic yet cleaned spotlessly on a daily basis. (We had to stay in 3 different rooms due to flight cancellations). There is a great bar around the corner called Nic Nowego. Its run by an Irishman with an acumen for employing staff that would attract a return visit. Great food and good beer as well a pleasant ambience. Hotel staff at times appeared either disinterested or not well versed in English, although their manner appears to be a constituent of the Polish psyche. If you want something done, ask for Lukasz. In summary, I would recommend the Campanile for its location and value. Note: Do not confuse the Campanile with Campile, County Wexford. Campile is neither well located or clean and is known solely for it's annual slurry-drinking fair.

Fairly standard 'chain' hotel located in the old part of the town. Difficult to get to if you are driving as it is at the 'wrong' end of a one way street. It does have its own basement car park though. The rooms are pretty basic and there is very little hanging space. Staff were reasonably friendly but not outstanding. Didn't eat in the hotel as lots of local restaurants nearby.

Stopped here Jan 25th-29th.

Twin room was £32 a night which was a bargain.

The hotel overlooks Planty Park and is also within a 5 minute walk to either the train station or the Rynek Glowny.

I'd use the hotel again if it's a similar compettive price the next time I'm in Krakow.
