“Very old and thought provoking”
Reviewed 9 May 2014

Worth reading the history before you visit to help understand what life was like pre and post war. Very old buildings with such poignant history. The square in front of the Old Synagogue is just beautiful. A very helpful local gave us a good account of what to visit and a bit of history of the area. The 'Ariel' Restaurant looked very lively.

“Little Paris”
Reviewed 8 May 2014

So bohemic nowadays, probably due to the sadnes that it brings from the past. Strole along narrow alleys to feel the sorrow, then get out to the open plan to feel the crowd joy, murmours and children laughter, screems while running around so carefree and inocent.

“Lively neighborhood”

More lively and cosier than the Main Square area of Krakow. Lot's of good and reasonably priced restaurants and bars. Compact sized are and within a short walking distance from the center.

“Packed with history interest and good bars and restaurants”
Reviewed 7 May 2014

Very intersting area, the flea market part is surrounded by bars and restaurants, great for wandering around during the day, try and catch a free walking tour that go around there. Very good. The food is very cheap at the fleamarket and the open baguettes are tremendous.
