“Excellent Base for Exploring Krakow”
Reviewed 15 June 2014

This is a very comfortable hotel situated between the Old Town and Jewish Quarter. We had a large, quiet room, facing the courtyard. The very spacious room was uncluttered, functional and very clean, as was the rest of the property. It came with all of the usual amenities. Staff were very helpful. No hesitation in staying here again.

a very very nice hotel in a great location with a great price. staff were excellent, very polite, friendly. a traveler could not ask for anything more. It is located on a very quiet street, but the location is great both for the old town and the Jewish quarters.

We stayed here for a week June 9-13 2014 and were surprised by how new the hotel looks, it is spotless and modern. Well stocked mini bar and space and comfort in the bedroom, we had a classic bedroom, so not a bath in these just a shower, which was not a power jet but was good enough for a shower, although the shower enclosure is fantastic. Breakfast was one of the best we have had in a European hotel, choice of hot, cold, everything you want is here, extremely good value!! The rooms are air conditioned which was great as we went in a heatwave!!
Staff were really friendly and fun, polite, helpful and cheerful. Checkout wasn't until 12 on the day we left, which is useful when you have a late flight out.
I would absolutely recommend this hotel totally.

Room Tip: Really quiet hotel, never heard doors banging or people talking, despite there being a lot of guests

My boyfriend and I spent two nights here when visiting Krakow in late May 2014. I'm of Polish decent and speak speak it fluently, where he only speaks English. It was nice that I didn't have to play as a translator and the hotel staff spoke great English, though most of the time I would just speak Polish with them as I was the one planning our trip.

We had a room on the 1st floor. The bed was quite comfortable and big and though our reservation said full size bed, it was definitely a big queen or a king and we had a lot of space. The price was great for the room.

My only complaint was in the bathroom. We had a stand up shower, but it was difficult to shower without hitting the shower faucet, which would alter the water temperature/pressure.

The location is decent. It is about a 10-15 min walk to the Square and about the same to Wawel Castle.

Breakfast was good, a lot of variety of foods at the self serve buffet.

I'd recommend the hotel and hope to stay again soon.

The hotel is excellent and it is very value for money compared with its facilities and service. Its location is perfect, just in the middle of the old town and Jewish district, 2 most important places to see in Krakow. Personnel are very nice, especially one of the ladies on the reception while we were checking out - unfortunately I do not know her name but she was not only helpful about the hotel facilities but also anything we needed in Krakow. I would certainly stay here if I revisit Krakow.

After reading all the previous reviews for this hotel, I decided it would be the one for my trip to Krakow. However, at arrival to the hotel the receptionist told us that the travel agent I booked my hotel/tours via had not sent them the reservation (which is not the hotels fault). They said that they had a free room for one night out of the two I had originally booked and had to go to another hotel for the second night which the travel agent sorted quickly.

However, the receptionist was quite rude when delivering this information when they should have dealt with this situation with a sensitive attitude, instead of saying 'it's not my problem'. This is probably what prevents me from rating this hotel as excellent. This is a shame because every other member of staff was very friendly and made sure that my stay was enjoyable. it is completely understandable that it was not the hotels direct responsibility for what happened, but I am a paying customer and expect friendly customer service.

The hotel itself is in a good location, it is near the Schindler's Factory and the Jewish District (Kazimierz) is just around the corner which is packed with restaurants and sights which are worth seeing. However, some of the attractions are quite a walk away but it is a pleasant walk from the hotel. There is a supermarket across the street which is useful to grab some cheap essentials such as bottled water and snacks.

The room was clean and spacious, which was well decorated. The beds were comfy and provided a good nights sleep. The bathroom was nice with a large stand up shower, a sink with plenty a space to store all of your toiletries and a large mirror. The room also included a safe which was good to put all your travel documents inside and was large enough to store a laptop if you decide to bring it with you.

Breakfast was lovely, there was a large selection to choose from. There was a choice of hot food such as bacon, eggs, beans and sausages and continental style breakfast items. If you decide to eat at the hotel restaurant for dinner there is a wide selection of dishes to choose from the menu, and for being a hotel guest you get 15% of your total bill.

The hotel in general is of high quality and everything after check in was brilliant. For me personally it was a shame that the member of staff who checked me in was not comforting about quite a worrying situation. However, if I return to Krakow I would consider staying here again.
