“Great Location”
Reviewed 4 December 2013

Ideally situated a few minutes walk from the central square and less than 10 mins walk to the bus stop for the airport bus. The hotel is not much to look at outside but inside was modern and very clean. The room was well presented if a bit cool despite us turning the heating up, but the beds were comfy and we were hardly in the room as Krakow is such a fascinating place to visit. Breakfast was adequate and there was tea and coffee making in the room. Good value for a long weekend. Staff were pleasant if not over friendly.

Paid a visit to krakow for a long weekend 25th--28th October. What a brilliant time.
We stopped in the hotel Alexander ,it was a very clean and comfortable room and quite modern interior.we had breakfast in the hotel and it was ok,plenty of juice ,tea coffee and a variety of food, not too bad. Staff were friendly and helpful and could speak and understand English.
Krakow itself is a MUST to visit ,lovely market square, surrounded by bars and cafe's, with market stalls selling lots of different gifts etc, all quite cheap.
Eating out is great experience everything is so cheap !!! .try Al Capone cafe for pasta lovely. And Pod Wawelem restaurant you can't eat all the food you get there. It was my son's birthday and the waiters brought him cake and sang happy birthday .
We visited Austwich a very humbling experience well worth the visit.
All in all a brilliant holiday and we will definetly be returning.

Went to Krakow for 4 days. Fabulous place to go. Lots to see and lots to learn about, holocaust etc.
The Main Square is as nice as any Square we have been in before it was stunning.
Went also down the Salt Mine but I would not recommend it. You have to walk down a staircase, 180mtrs, and you walk through tunnels observing the salt figures which are amazing but the lift back up to the surface only held 5/6 people, so during busy times you have to wait about 2hours for the lift.
The taxi driver was great, known as Bob, phone no: +48 606 212 912 highly recommended
All in all a great few days away.

Room Tip: The Hotel was really for just a short stay, it was on a bed and breakfast basis. We were out all day...

Positives first.. This hotel is really handy for the square and all the nearby streets and bars.
The room was warm, the bed was comfortable, shower hot and good pressure, the breakfast was very nice! Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Didn't see many of the staff but the ones we did were friendly and helpful.
Negatives... I travelled with 4 friends (that is not the negative bit!) We were not in the main hotel but in the annexe next door. I did wonder if groups of people were moved out there instead of the main hotel in case they turn rowdy? Staying in the annexe in itself is not a problem, but the rooms were small and dark and very basic, and there is absolutely no soundproofing! Wooden stairs made every footstep echo and people talking in a normal tone could clearly be heard thought the walls, as could other activities! If you are a light sleeper, take earplugs!
Only one toaster at breakfast buffet which meant a bit of a wait. Coffee not very hot or strong enough for my taste.
These are minor niggles. At the end of the day we were there to see the city and only used the room to sleep.
Ultimately I would consider staying there again, but would ask to be in the main part of the hotel.

Went for 2nd time earlier this year as impressed with location, value & cleanliness 1st time. Had changed a bit - breakfast area now more spacious & in basement. Pretty basic food but more than adequate start to the day. Only a short stay but room was well kept. There was a small sparsely stocked bar on 1st visit but this has now disappeared. Very good base for a short trip but would not want to stay too long. Staff very courteous as were most Poles we met.

Room Tip: None really - not a great deal to look out at.

Went with school to see Auschwitz, Salt mines etc. The city itself is amazing. So beautiful and clean and all the tourist spots are great. The hotel rooms are great. Very comfy beds, very clean and with nice bathrooms. The only problem with the hotel was the food. Breakfast was horrible with no cold drinks (milk, orange juice etc). Dinner was equally bad with very dry, bland chicken most nights. Over all I would highly recommend this hotel as long as you don't get the food.
