“Very dated.”
Reviewed 24 February 2014

Very dated rooms. Everything was clean. Ample breakfast. No tea or coffee in room. The greatest thing is it's location. Some great restaurants around and very bohemian shops. About 20 minutes walk to main square.

This was my second stay at the hotel and was even better this time round. Helpful staff on arrival, quickly checked in and given our room keys. We had two rooms and did want them next to each other but one was on the 3rd floor and one on the 4th but this was no problem in the end. The location is fantastic within walking distance of every where we wanted to visit within reason. Breakfast is very continental but we all found something we liked which was always been topped up. Rooms have lots of space and are comfortable nice warm showers too ! Only problem we had was working the safe in the room which got locked as I was working out how to use it, reception didn't seem to know much about getting it back open. (luckily our belongings wasn't in there) Overall Fab hotel !!! Krakow is an amazing place would come back again and again :)

This hotel is situated in the Jewish district with many bars & places to eat near by. The hotel staff are lovely & their English was excellent. The twin room was lovely & clean with toiletries & towels replaced regularly. Great breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff are so helpful & they booked out trip to Auschwitz & our taxi to their airport. They also provided us with a continental plug adaptor as we forgot to pack ours. If you are looking for a great value hotel in a nice area then the Hotel Astoria is for you. Plenty of shops near by & only 20 minute walk to the main square. When visiting Krakow again, we will be staying at the Astoria.

Stayed here jan 26th-30th 2014. Staff very helpful, breakfast consisted of bread rolls, ham, cheese, cereal, tea, coffee, orange, fresh fruit and pastries. Nothing to complain about. Didnt have any toast one day but staff very quickly brought me something else out.
Bedroom was on the 4th floor room 403. 3 single beds. Bathroom had a sewage smell but nothing too bad that didn't mask my own smells!!
Shower lovely, beds clean & changed twice.
FREE WIFI can't stress enough in this day & age how good that is.
Hotel is located in the Jewish quarter. If you see a little electric tour bus then jump on it. Heated & takes you all around for a fraction of the price of bigger companies.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights Jan 19th to 22nd as part of a short city break package. The location in the old Jewish quarter is excellent and only 20 mins walk to the main city square.
The staff where very pleasant and helpful.
We had a twin bedded room on the 4th floor. It was basic....... What was available for breakfast was disappointing and gradually became less each morning. We eat one lunch in the hotel and immediately decided to eat elsewhere for the remains of our stay.
There are numerous places nearby to get great meals at fantastic prices.

Room Tip: Our room on the 4th floor looking out to the rear of the hotel had an angled ceiling, which while ad...

Found the astoria to be very basic average hotel , we booked a deluxe double room, we were given a family room, was no complimentary drink on arrival, are even a mention about using the sauna, which was included in the price, we stayed here for 4 nights, good location to the main square, 10 min walk away, we found the bed uncomfortable mattress was very thin, sheets were never changed once while we stayed there, no tea are coffee in room, charged 8 zloty a time, no still water in room, fizzy water not good when brushing teeth as advised not to drink tap water safe in room instructions were not very good had to hold button at back of safe to get it to work we also found if you came back to hotel there was no where to get a drink as restaurant was always in darkness are there was one evening a private function going on, not very good for tourists, definitley come back to krakow but not stay at this hotel,

Stayed here with my daughter in November 2013. Great hotel. Great staff. Very centrally located in the heart of the Jewish quarter. Easy and delightful walk through old town to nearby main square. Term system is excellent. So much to see. Would. Need a week. Highly recommend.
