Good Location (5 Minutes walking distance to historic town), Big Rooms, very good bed. and great breakfast, you can order eggs in any style in Addition to the Buffet. The staff is very friendly and supportive. The style of the building is a Palace, very nice.

WE will Return for sure in some month to enjoy the famous Christmas market.

Room Tip: Room 12 is highly recommended.

As per other reviews - this is very nice. My issues, however, being the mattress protector was quite warm, the shower head needed replacing and the towels were showing their age - which was particularly noticeable after the new thick towels from my stay in the nearby Novotel a week earlier. Notwithstanding, I'd be happy to return. The breakfast is comprehensive and even fussy eaters should find plenty to satisfy. And the downstairs restaurant does tasty good value meals with a discount for those staying in the hotel.

My wife and I stayed here for a long weekend in July having booked our flights, hotel and trips independently.
The Ostoya Palace is a lovely, quirky little hotel just on the edge of the Old Town, so a very good base, although now we have been we would rather have stayed in the Jewish Quarter where the best bars & restaurants are.
The hotel itself is a throwback to a bygone age. Very wide staircases and big high ceilings - just what we were hoping for. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, always a good sign! We booked bed & breakfast.
While the room itself was great the bed was probably the hardest most uncomfortable I have ever slept on. On check out I told the receptionist who said "All our British guests say that!" Breakfast was OK, there was plenty of choice of cold meats, cheeses, salads & bread, with hot available cooked to order if required. We didn't try the hot as we were satisfied with the buffet, which was replenished regularly. The coffee was good too.
We booked our trips (Auschwitz, Schindlers Factory & the Salt Mines) along with airport transfers through Krakow Direct who I can thoroughly recommend. I will put a separate review up for them. All their trips were well organised, the drivers spoke excellent English and although we felt the Salt Mines tour a bit too long it was well worth doing. It is possible to book the Salt Mines & Auschwitz on the same day. Don't do it! The Auschwitz trip takes about 5 hours including transfers and is very emotionally draining, we were glad we did them separately. We would also suggest you spend longer at Schindlers factory than the time allocated to us (1 ½ hrs). We’d have liked a half day there. We were expecting to see a factory but what we got was a fantastic museum of the German Occupation. One of the highlights was a film with interviews with some of Schindlers workers. This should not be missed.
The other great thing to do is to take an electric car tour. These are basically golf buggies with a taped commentary & a driver. You negotiate a price for the areas you want to see & off you go. We did this on our first afternoon and it was a great way of getting our bearings.

All in all a great trip!

Small and cosy hotel near the old city center. The building is old and beautiful, built in 1895 and the rooms are located in two floors. The stuff here are very friendly and helpful, which is certainly not something taken for granted in Poland. Rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast costs 30 zl extra, but the table is set with all kind of delicacies. It might not be exactly a Palace, but it's a very good choice for a pleasant stay in beautiful Kraków.

Room Tip: Please notice that there are ceiling windows in the second floor... because some people love the sou...

We stayed here with our son for one week in July and thoroughly enjoyed our stay and time in Poland. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
The rooms were spacious and kept exceptionally clean by the very efficient cleaning staff. The bed in our room (room 18) was a little too firm for our liking; the bed in our son's room (room 15) softer. En-suite bathrooms with shower. Tea and coffee facilities provided in our rooms and there was also a mini fridge/bar and free safe.
Breakfast was lovely, plenty of variety. We had our evening meal in the bar/restaurant twice - limited choice, but low cost and very tasty.
For our other meals we ate out at various restaurants in the main square, which was only 10 mins away. The square is massive with so much going on. The horse and carriage rides are a must, as is a visit to Wawel Castle. We also visited Schindlers ceramic factory in the old town - very interesting.
Prior to our visit we booked a trip to Auschwitz and the Salt Mines with Krakowtours.co.uk (not .com). Our English speaking guide, Phil, picked us in a car with just two other people. Phil was very knowledgeable. This small guided tour was so much better than a large coach tour. Phil also told us how we could get to Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains by bus, which was very easy and saved us a small fortune on the price of an organised trip. We also use Krakow tours for the airport transfers and definitely recommend this small company which gives a very personal service.
A big "Thank you" to Phil and all the staff at the Ostoya Palace hotel for a very enjoyable and memorable first visit to Poland.

I stayed with my parents here for a long weekend June. We were all very pleased with it. The room we stayed in was very spacious. The hotel is very near the old town about 10mins walk and about 15mins in car from airport. Hotel reception was very helpful with any queries we had. Breakfast was very good with the option of cooked food as well. Would be happy to recommend to friends and family.

Spent 5 nights there. Location was very convenient to both the Market Square and the Wawel Castle. (No need for public transportation. Easy walk.) The room was spacious and kept very clean. Safe/Mini fridge/AC in room. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Really made us feel like they truly wanted to help! (directions/dining recommendations/taxi service to airport) Would be happy to stay there again! Inexpensive too!! (Loved the automated front door!)
