I visited the Jewish Cultural Festival at the end of June 2014, so some of the functions were in hear, I saw a first showing of what life was like by an old chap, listened to music, took part in a Jewish service and of course looked at the books that were for sale on all sorts of stuff informing the reader what Galicia and Krakow were like in the area prior to the Halacoust. Nice place and it feels local and inviting.

Coated this and listened to a talk from hollocaust survivor which was extremely powerful and a genuine once in lifetime opportunity. The images on display are top quality and tell a powerful story. The volunteer guide was friendly but spoke limited English which for an English tour wasn't that great but she was a volunteer so can't complain

This is one of the top places to visit in Krakow to learn about the large vibrant Jewish community that existed before the Holocaust, see beautiful photos of the ruins of the culture, and see the efforts to memorialize those who perished and preserve their history. Now and through October 2014, there is a wonderful and inspiring temporary exhibit, "Fabric of Survival: The Story of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz," displaying photographs of the unique, uplifting fabric collage and embroidery artworks that a Polish Holocaust survivor created to document her survival story and memorialize the family and neighbors she lost. Even though depicting terrifying events, she never lost touch with the beauty of the Polish countryside.

We took a walk to the Jewish quarter and easily found this little museum.
A temporary exhibit with a personal story told through words and stitching didn't sound too appealing but was outstanding .. So emotional and the art showed the story of a family torn apart by the Nazi's brilliantly.. Do not skip this if you are visiting.
The main museum is small but so much information packed in with pictures that tell their own story.. Be prepared for 2 good hours reading but well worth it. Cannot fault the place.. 5 stars

This museum was really interesting and informative. Showing just how badly the Jews were treated in the occupation and harrowing photographs and information. This certainly prepares you for Auchwitz if you didn't know anything about this previously
