We spent 2 nights at Cracowdays at the end of April. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left we were treated as if we were staying at a friends house. Whilst checking us in we were shown in to the lovely kitchen to have tea/coffee etc - Gosha was a star throughout and couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming. The room was excellent with a fantastic shower. On our floor there was a small hallway with a computer available as well as a small kitchen; well stocked. The breakfast was lovely - so fresh - and we sat around the table with two other couples and chatted - it really didn't feel like a hotel/apartment. But it was the small things they do that make this a five star rating - honesty drinks cabinet; biscuits, fruit etc. Nothing was too much trouble - Gosha offered to and booked all our restaurant tables, day trips and taxis. Will definitely be back - Krakow beautiful

Second time of staying here and again had a lovely time and enjoyed the comfortable accommodation. Room stylish, a good size and nice and quiet. Enjoyed the breakfasts and meeting other guests and talking about what we'd all been doing and getting travel tips. The staff at Cracowdays are always very helpful and polite. We changed our travel dates to be able to get a room here as I didn't find anywhere else on the web that looked as nice.

Room Tip: The Superior Rooms are worth the extra

Just back from 4 nights in Crakowdays Independent Apartment, this is a self contained apartment in the in the next street to the main hotel. Being independent of the hotel we didn't have much contact with the hotel / staff apart from check in and check out.

Bookings were completed from the UK, emails were answered promptly and any questions we had we answered very well.

We booked a transfer from the airport and expected a taxi for sole use as the cost was 70 pln for up to four people, this was not the case. We were kept waiting for 15 minutes until another couple turned up. Not the best first impression , however after raising an issue the cost was reduced to 35 pln rather than all of us paying 70. The taxi driver waited for us to check in and then took us round the corner to the apartment.

First impression on entering Crakowdays main building was that we'd entered the set of "Hostel" and you thought my god what have we done. The hotel is based on the first floor of a building, the entrance way and steps and very run down and do not give a good first impression. The communal area to access the hotel is not owned by Crakowdays, once your on the first floor the hotel is lovely.

The independent apartment is in a residential building, the communal areas are a bit drab though better than the entranceway to the hotel. The apartment itself is lovely, spacious and well equipped with everything you could want for your stay.

The bed area is on a raised mezzanine level and extremely comfortable. The ceiling is beamed, so you need to watch your head!

The apartment faces the street on the ground floor, there were no issues with noise from either outside or inside the building. The heating system is very good, so if your visiting outside of summer you'll have no worries.

Wi-Fi is provided in the apartment, it was fast and totally reliable during our stay.

Location is about 10 minutes walk from Old Town Square, so an ideal base. There is a 24 hour supermarket on the corner of the street, along with a number of bakeries and shops nearby so you are well served if your doing your own thing. You do also have the option of having breakfast in the hotel if you wish.

Our flight was late afternoon, check out was 11 am and the hotel offers storage of luggage. We booked a private transfer back to the airport, staff were very helpful both when we checked out and to assist when our transport was slightly delayed due to Krakow traffic.

Overall an enjoyable stay, we are looking to return to Krakow in September and the independent apartment is our first choice for accommodation in this amazing city.

Room Tip: Independent apartment is ideal if you want to do your own thing

Dear Guests,
Thank you very much for your reviews
We are very sorry that your stay in our hotel was not as you had expected.
Building in which the hotel is located is more than 100 years old, as most of the Old Town buildings.
As far as we know, also the price for the airport transfer from the beginning was 35 PLN for each couple, and time you where waiting for not as long as you mentioned.
If it so happened, that something was not done well enough to make your stay comfortable.
Thank you for understanding and hope that next time you come to Cracow you stay with us that we will do our best to make of your time in our hotel as pleasant as possible!

Best regards

We stayed here for three nights and were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is a bit out of the centre of Krakow (about 10/15 minutes) but the area is quiet with a selection of restaurants and shops on the way to the centre of Krakow.

The room was a good size with all the usual amenities. Free tea and coffee in the communal kitchen was handy. Had the breakfast one morning which was nice for our first morning when we hadn't found our feet yet. Staff were very friendly and organised taxis for us.

We stayed at this hotel for four days in early May 2014. Besides one negative experience (I mention later), the hotel was generally enjoyable. It was reasonably close to the city center (10-15 min. walk from Main square, also close to tram stop). Room was nice and tidy. It is in a side street and the noise level was no problem. Free wifi.

The staff was amiable. Breakfast was good enough. Not the widest selection I've seen but adequate to the hotel size (8 or so rooms). Breakfast was also a good opportunity to chat a bit with other fellow guests. Note that there is a very good restaurant Zielona Kuchnia just accross the street.

Among the minor negatives, the bed was somewhat too soft and the hotel does not have parking. Note: If there is free place, it is possible to park at the street for about 32 zloty/weekday (you will need coins) and free in the night and weekends (we caught a good spot just in front of our window when we came and stayed there gor four days until departure).

We had one negative experience, for which I subtract one star. When we arrived the first day (towards the day-end), there was no one at reception and while there wer two phone numbers, no one was picking either of those. It took more than 1 hour until someone came, while we stayed outside for the time (we informed the hotel about our arrival time upfront). If receptionist came a while later, we might have ended elsewhere. The night shift said his keys were locked out, so probably an exception but still an unpleasant start (other guests also said it was exception that no one was there).
