I would certainly recommend the Andel's Hotel in Cracow. The rooms are spacious and clean and very modern. The bathroom layout is superb and very clean, with little extras like piped music from the tv into the bathroom so you can still hear the tv when you are showering. Breakfast was very good with a huge selection of goodies. The scrambled eggs however where disappointing just a watery mush! The hotel is in a great position for the railway and bus station and also for dining in the main square. For shoppers there is a huge mall literally a stones throw away.

Just back from a fantastic stay at this hotel. We arrived on the train from the airport went up into the shopping centre. From here it was really easy to find the hotel and although we didnt have time to go into the shopping centre it was really good to have it on the doorstep. Before we arrived I didnt know how far away from the old town the hotel would be. It was really easy to get to the old town via an underpass and then through a small park area that runs all the way around the old town. You are in the old town area within a couple of minutes although it probably does take about 10 mins to reach the main square.
The hotel is modern and has all facilities you could require, we did not use the gym, sauna or bar but we had a quick look and they all looked very well set up. We stayed on the first floor and had a room overlooking the back end of the shopping centre. There was building work going on outside but this did not affect us at all, they were not noisy. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was one of the best i have ever seen in a hotel. It was large with a bath and sink and then a toilet and a shower were in separate cubicles separated by glass partitions. We decided to eat in the old town so did not try out the restaurant but it looked busy. I would like to thank all the staff that helped me arrange a birthday cake and card and the wine and fruit for my other half's birthday. It all went really well and the cake was very tasty!

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at this hotel that has a pleasant and efficient staff. I had emailed them several times prior to our arrival with questions/concerns. Each of my emails was answered promptly and fully. The hotel is not luxurious but rather modern, quiet and clean. The rooms are well appointed. The location is superb..... right next to the train station (we took the train from and to Warsaw) and very close to the old city and it's main square with all of the fabulous architecture, restaurants, shops and night life. They also feature a breakfast buffet with a wide variety that is included in your room price. We would certainly stay at Andel's on a return visit.

Room Tip: Free internet in lobby and restaurant areas.... charge of 40 Pzl daily for room wifi.

Great location, wonderful ammenities -- room and service were great, including the breakfast offerings. We are an older couple and traveled all around Europe fall of 2011-- this was definitely one of the nicest hotels we stayed at. It is not cheap, but you get what you pay for. You can walk to many places from here and there is also a taxi stand out front.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was excellent. The shopping mall is next door, which has a good variety of cloth shops, eateries etc and then a short walk through the underpass brings you to the Market Square where you will find many restaurants and shops. The hotel staff very polite and spoke excellent English. Breakfast and dinner were very good and there was always a good variety on offer. The bedroom was modern and well equipped, we have never stayed in a bathroom quite like it! The only slight minus point was the room faced the tram line and a main road, so the noise levels were quite high. However, we had been pre-warned by earlier comments on here about these rooms, so we took ear plugs just in case they were needed and they were.
If we were to travel back to Krakow we would stay here without a second thought.

Stayed here for work for two two nights. the proximity to town is good but a little distance, next to a shopping centre with some restaurants. It isn't a boutique hotel but a good level of business hotel. I was upgraded (not sure what the room difference is as it was just about the right size) however it did mean free wifi free dvd hire (if not upgraded you can pay about £4 per dvd and yes there are dvd players in the room). Breakfast was just ok with sweetened fruit salad which was odd. Bar food is good as restaurant looked expensive at £50 for a burger - not sure if it was a typo as a club sandwich in the bar was about £12. Staff were just ok not exactly falling overthemselves to help you but the hotel doesn't suffer because of it.

we had a fantastic stay here on a short break with friends. hotel is nicely decorated, all staff very friendly and helpful, good standard of breakfast and wide choice on offer. our room was excellent - quiet, spacious, well furnished. the highlight was the bathroom, spacious and stylish with separate bath and walk-in shower.
hotel is really well located, just a couple of minutes walk across the park to the old town sights so an easy walk back after a night out. opposite the railway station and next to a large shopping centre.

Room Tip: only use taxis phoned by the hotel. that way they are very cheap and reliable. if you use those at t...
