Literally a perfect hostel. Clean, spacious, cozy, modern. Amazing staff, so accommodating and lovely. Free breakfast and dinner, as well as free fruit all day and alcohol at night. I honestly have no idea how these guys even make money, as they just give and give and give. When I said I was leaving at 6.30am, JM even offered to get up and make me breakfast before I left. The location is wonderful as well, round the corner from old town, and across the road from the station. I literally cannot think of a single fault. I was a bit sick in the few days staying here, and the staff were kind enough to carefully select a room they thought would be quieter for me. Not a party hostel, but in a partnership with others, so you can join in on the pub crawls and are just round the corner if you do want to go out. Loved it here and will definitely come back if I'm in krakow again.

As soon as we walked in we were warmly greeted and made to feel welcome. Every single staff member has a great approach with treating their visitors like house guests. They went above and beyond to ensure we not only enjoyed our time at the hostel but also Krakow. The free breakfast and the awesome free dinners created a very sociable aspect for all travellers and the food was amazing! Also they provided free beer and vodka afterwards which really got the party started. The location was great close to old town and opposite train/bus station. The rooms/bathrooms were spotless, power plugs and lights at every bed and lockers & safe to store valuables. We cannot speak highly enough of this hostel it made our time in Krakow! Special shout out to our girl JM you were such a great host. Thanks for nursing us back to health and also leading us astray ;)

Cozy place, just in from of the railway station and few steps of the old city. Great atmosphere, food included and the staff make you comfortable. Great place to be in Krakow. Staff eager to help about all day trips.

My friends and I stayed here for two days and loved the place. It's a great central base for anyone looking to be in the heart of the city. The staff are great and very friendly, they are very informative and helpful. We were able to book all the trips we were looking for at the front desk which was great. They offer some great deals for food and it's was very tasty. Our room was very clean and homely. We soon got talking to the more of the guests as the bar area is perfect for mingling with people but still offers quiet spots for guests who are looking for a quieter time. All in all very nice place, would recommend this place to all.

Bit late with the review but might help someone. have stayed here a few times including Jan 2010 when it seemed like the ice age had returned, it was always nice to get back to our warm and welcoming home at greg tom.the hostel is a ten minute walk from the main square but in an ideal spot for easy access to the main shopping mall, train and bus stations. It is a great base for exploring the area and beyond.have always stayed in a private room abnd no complaints whatsoever.
the airport train is very cheap.although i have heard it isn't running at the moment (Jan 14)
if you can spare say 6 nights, spend 2 in Krakow...take the bus to Zakopane in the Tatra mountains about 3 hrs away for around £4 and spend 2 nights there..cheaper accomodation, half the price of Krakow, cheap food and fantastic scenery...take the funicular railway up Gubalowka hill one day and the mini bus from town then the cable car up the 7000ft mountain Kasprowy wierch in the Tatras..then a short walk to the summit...exhilarating. The town will be lively and full of skiers if the snow has hung around.
..Head back to Krakow and then take a bus the next morning to Auschwitz, Birkenau...a must see and a humbling experience...free admission and a cheap bus rid from Krakow bus station ..an alternative is the salt mine and the sculptures. must see sights in Krakow include Wawel castle, the Jewish ghetto, Schindler building and the area around the main square. eat where the locals do...it is edible and very cheap.

If you have made your way to krakow you may be tempted by one of the cheaper hostels at first but paying the little bit extra is well worth it at this hostel. I have never written a review before because the effort was too much but i made a point of logging on to spread the word about this place.

At first a beautiful Polish receptionist named Olga sat us down in the very tastefully decorated lounge room (which had dvds, video games, computer and small library) and explained everything about the hostel and the town. She told us all the great places that only locals would know about and recommended all the best sites. All her advice was dead right and she made us feel right at home.

The best part about this hostel is that the Breakfast and Dinner is included (while i was there they also had FREE BEER with dinner) and unlike most hostels who use this as a lure to attract young unsuspecting travellers and then offer them stale bread and margarine for breakfast, the menu here is tasty, nutritious and satisfying. Each night is different and its hot, home cooked meals.

This is without a doubt the best RELAXED hostel experience I've ever had, it felt more like staying at the house of a good friend who is a chef and has excellent taste in decorating.

Modern, clean, tasteful, intimate, Staff are friendly and relaxed, Food is amazing.... It's like every need has been anticipated and every expectation exceeded.

Room Tip: If you are travelling as a couple, try to get the private room for only 5PZL more. Great value and p...
