spent four nights in this wonderful hostel. Aga is a lovely host and immediately makes you feel at home. It is just far enough away from the city centre to give the sense of a peaceful retreat but within walking distance of all there is to see. would highly recommend a stay here,
Thanks Aga

Delightful, knowledgeable and helpful hostess with immaculate conveniently located hostel.

Aga may well be the font of all Krakow knowledge! Booked our Auschwitz trip with her and used her guidance to explore this incredible city.
Enjoyed the generous breakfast and interesting conversation with the other guests and Aga of a morning.

We moved on to stay in another part of the city after a few nights as the plan was to give ourselves a treat and a little luxury before heading home - we paid over 8 times as much as we did with Aga per night and in the end would have much rather stayed at Elephant on the Moon!

We recently stayed during the Easter break in April with Aga. As we were travelling with our eight year old daughter we felt it was important to be out of the main city centre area to ensure a decent nights sleep.
We stayed 4nights in total. The hostel is more like a B&B, the breakfast consisted of cereal, bread, meats and cheeses and was an ample start to our busy days. The room we stayed in was plain and simple with loads of space.
Aga has a wealth of information and provided us with transport info as well as places of interest to visit that our 8yr old daughter would enjoy. Our daughter built a lovely rapport with Aga and was sad at leaving :)
We had a very pleasant stay and enjoyed the peaceful sleeps in the residential area were Elephant on the Moon is situated.
Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality.

Just back from a 4 night stay here and both myself and my friend I was travelling with were thoroughly impressed. Aga is extremely helpful, very nice and funny, too. She helped us plan our days there and provided us with a great breakfast each morning (cereal, bread, jam etc - you were free to cook for yourself also). She even went the extra mile to surprise my friend with balloons and a cake on our arrival as it was her birthday. The hostel was very, very clean and bed was comfortable. It is about a 15 minute walk from Krakow's market square, however the walk is a nice, safe one and the trams are located nearby if you don't fancy walking.

Thank you so much again, Aga! We shall be back if we ever return to Krakow.

From your crazy Scottish girls.

We stayed in Krakow in Feb. 2014 on a trip through Poland. This hostel was a GREAT experience. Aga emailed us ahead of time and told us about the weather and how to find the hostel. The location was a little out of the city centre, but was at the end of three tram lines. The trams in Krakow worked great and the walk to the hostel was not far, even with suitcases. We set up tours through the hostel and everything worked great. Breakfast was simple but filling. Aga was very helpful. We stayed there in the offseason so the hostel wasn't that full so it wasn't crowded. Our room was clean. We had the Lenin room with the private washroom, but the hall washroom was also clean and accessible. The hostel is eco friendly and offer tips throughout the rooms. There is a kitchenette on the main floor for cooking, and plates available. The price was very affordable. This is the place to stay in Krakow if you want to feel safe (the hostel is in a residential area and was a large house before), good location and access to transit, helpful staff, and great resources. There is a garden in front of the hostel so there is no street noise either. The tours we were set up with were great. I will totally stay here again!

Room Tip: The rooms are themed but the theme isn't overwhelming. If you want the Lenin room (like we did...

I had a wonderful experience here. Aga was extremely friendly and helpful with anything I needed. It had more of a bed and breakfast feel to me than a hostel. It is a little way out of market square but was easy enough to get to within 10 minutes via walking and tram (probably would have been a nice walk all the way but I went in January and it was too cold for me!). Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was wonderful! In fact, I had the entire hostel to myself. The host, Aga, was super friendly and she gave me great tips and in general excellent conversation :) We bonded over our love for mystery novels and detective series. I would highly recommend this hostel. It is very, very clean and in a quiet neighborhood. Despite being a bit outside the city, it takes only about 10 minutes to get there by tram.
