I have just returned back from my trip to Krakow where my friends and I stayed at the Aparthotel Maly Krakow.

This hotel stood out when searching for hotels due to its central location and affordable rates. In short, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way.

The location was brilliant - the shops, bars and restaurants of Krakow are just a short stroll away. On top of this, the rooms are decorated in a very modern fashion and have plenty of space, the beds are also extremely comfy and there was never any noise when trying to sleep. We had breakfast included in our rate and this was pleasant also.

What I feel really stood out at this hotel however was the outstanding level of customer service - the staff here were always more than happy to help and always had a smile on their faces. Many 4 and 5 star hotels that I have visited have been a far cry from this hotel with regards to customer service and to me this really is something which can really make or brake a stay at a hotel. One lady in particular (Joanna I believe her name was) really stood out. She is a prime example of someone who goes the extra mile for customers, after a tiring day/night exploring the city we were always greeted with a smile and warm welcome - she even took time to give us advice and draw out on a map where the best places to eat and go out at night were, this proved extremely valuable and ensured we made the most of our time in Krakow.

I will definitely be visiting Krakow again and this hotel will be the first place I look to secure a room at.

Very nice hotel and ideally located. I wanted to visit Auswitch, the Salt Mines, Schindler's factory and see the castle and the town. The hotel is beside Krakow train station and the bus station. I took the train to Auswitch (Oswiecim) and walked the rest, about 15 mins walk. I took a bus from directly outside the hotel to the salt mines which stopped right outside the mines. Everything else I walked to as this hotel is on the edge of the old town and only 5 mins walk from the main square. Breakfast was next door with the usual cereal, cheeses, hams, There are plenty of places to eat. The Galleria at the train station has Polish fast food outlets as well as Subway, MacDonalds.

As a mature single lady I found the Maly Hotel ideal for all my needs.
I felt in a safe area and the property was gated
Very close to Railway and bus station and also the centre of the Old Town
Easy to get around. I traveled by train tram and bus all at low cost
The Hotel was small and comfortable.Basic facilities but clean warm and a shower to die for
Some of the rooms had cooking facilities but I just had a kettle which is all I required.
Lovely and helpful staff. You have to ask for room cleaning and your bed linen to be changed also for extra coffee and tea bags but this is no problem just the way the system works..
I had breakfast next door at Bar Bistro which was very plain and never changed but enough to get you going in the morning. The huge Galeria nearby was open till 22pm so spent evenings there as not easy to go to bars on my own. There was a baker shop across the road with lovely bread and cakes and next door a shop with hot snacks also a small grocer shop and a small coffee shop so everything I needed was on the doorstep
I recommend this small hotel with no frills to all groups
T.V had no Sky so missed out on any world news. I brought two paperback books with me which I had the time and peace to read

My partner and I stayed recently at Maly Krakow and found it to be excellent. Our room was very clean and well fitted out - as well as tea and coffee making facilities, there was a small fridge and a hotplate so you could cook a meal.

The staff were all very friendly. Their English is very good, so communication shouldn't be a problem if your Polish is a little rusty. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the city and local sights.

The location, directly across the road from the Galeria Krakow and Krakow Glowny (main train and bus station) makes it easy to find and get in and out of town.

The twin room we shared was 240PLN (including breakfast of bread, spreads, meat and cheese at the Bar Bistro around the corner) was more than we would usually pay, but feel that the Maly Krakow was worth it.

I would recommend this accommodation to friends and think it would be ideal for people traveling on business as they have free wifi in all the rooms.
