An unasuming, but spotless small hotel in very close proximity to the main square and all of it's attractions.
From the splendid wooden electrically operated main doors, to the main foyer, corridors and rooms, the hotel is very well presented and to a standard well above that which I would expect for it's star rating.
Our room was both spacious and spotless. The en-suite seemed brand new and finished to a very high standard. There was no air conditioning in our room, but in November I wouldn't be expecting to have much use for any. In summer months, however I would not be so sure. We would have liked a fridge and a flat panel tv in the room, but in reflection we were rarely in the room to enjoy any such luxury, because there was so much to do nearby in the city near by.
Breakfast was plentyful, wholesome and tasty, with eggs, meats, cereals, breads, cheeses and yogurts available. We certainly didn't go hungry before lunch on any day.
The staff at the front desk were flawless and highly commendable, answering any question and request for advice with a genuinely friendly response.
We want to go back to Krakow at some point in the near future, and will have no hesitation of booking the Amber without having to look elsewhere.More
