We really loved our visit to JCC Krakow in June! It is a sight that shouldn't be missed. My son, who is there on a yearlong fellowship has not only been welcomed into the workplace, but has become part of their family. The volunteers and staff, Jewish and non-Jewish, work side by side in a colorful lively space warmly receiving locals and visitors from all over the world. After participating in the Ride for the Living on June 6, 2014, biking with 14 others from Auschwitz-Birkenau 55 miles to JCC Krakow, we were welcomed with balloons, JCC Krakow beer, loud applause and a delicious Shabbat meal. JCC Krakow is all about celebrating life, discovering Jewish roots, learning and building community, so close to where it almost ceased to exist. Stop in; meet the amazing staff, Jonathan, Justin, Avi, Sebastian, Kasia, Anna, Joanna, Ishbel, Agnieszka, and Agata and see for yourself!
