“Nice boutique hotel”
Reviewed 19 December 2013 via mobile

We stayed here for 3 nights in December. We arrived at midday and our room was ready despite check in being stated as 2pm. Hotel is in a nice area with several bars, cafés etc within easy walking distance ( we particularly enjoyed Trezo for a meal). We were given room 302 which is a large room looking out onto the square. Nice buffet breakfast with friendly helpful staff. Air con unit in the room was a little noisy but we got used to it. Overall we had a very pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel to others.

Rubinstein Residence was a really lovely place to stay! We felt welcome and very comfortable since first getting there. Everything we wanted to see in Krakow was very close and we loved having the ability to walk everywhere. Room was ready when we arrived at about 2pm which was really good. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms quiet and incredibly well heated. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others

We stayed here from 5-9th December for our anniversary. Got a free upgrade to suite and room met our expectations for a true polish culture and ambience. Little extras such as fresh fruit and pastries on arrival and above usual extras in bathroom including robes and slippers. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Bar staff attentive. Room very clean, although bathroom smelt a little musty on arrival but that soon went after useage. Beds made every day and clean towels.
We didn't eat in the evenings here because we wanted to try different aspects of local cuisine but breakfast was sufficient in variety and plenty of it.
A lovely hotel in middle of Jewish qtr, about 10-15 mins walk to main square and 10 mins in other direction to modern shopping mall.
Local flea market on sunday mornings an experience, about 5 mins walk away.
Plenty of culture and history and all within walking distance apart from auschwitz. Our only let down was the christmas market, better ones back home but all in all a worthwhile trip and would definatelt recommend hotel if you want classic poland rather than modern same old, same old.
Great value for money - only paid £150 for 3 nts B&B.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the square if you want quiet

Stayed here 4th - 6th December after finding it for £106 fortwo people, when we arrived about 11am we were told to come back about 1pm due to the rooms not being ready so that was fine we went for a walk & came back about 1pm however it still wasn't ready, this would have been fine if maybe the staff had of been slightly more apologetic or even offered us a coffee at the bar while we waited, Anyway the reception staff was our only niggle.

Apart from that our room (Room 302) was lovely and clean, complimentary fresh fruit, pastries & bottled water, beds are SO comfy, heated bathroom floor and a great view.

We didn't eat here at night but the breakfast (which was included in the hotel price) was so tasty! Not like a usual continental breakfast! Coffee machine, yoghurts, cereal, smoked salmon, toasted bread, cheeses, cold meats, boiled eggs... Etc.

We also had a coffee at the bar which was I think was 50p per coffee! The manager lighted our candle at our table & seemed really friendly too!

The Xmas markets are not too far a walk & are definitely one to visit whilst there, I wouldn't bother with a taxi or tram it's just one straight line, about 20mins.

Thank you for a great stay we will be returning! :-)

We visited Krakow last week. We decided to eat at the Rubinstein Hotel. The hotel looked nice and we believed it would serve a top quality meal. Sadly we were mistaken; the food was awful. It was cold and everything was mashed or minced, I felt like I had no teeth.
The wine was very expensive, the same bottle in another hotel was the equivalent of £8 cheaper (40 Zloty).
The waiter constantly hovered around and quite frankly it was the worst meal and service I have ever had.
As a family we were very disappointed. It was the one bad event in what was a superb stay in Krakow.
