Description: Fish is the base of Farina's menu as well as the flour. That is why they appear on our restaurant's logo. Both are not only healthy but also very useful for thousands of intriguing dishes. Flour, on our logo represented with a sack, symbolizes pasta, ravioli, delicate rolls prepared in our kitchen as well as traditional Polish dumplings. These fresh, natural ingredients influenced by temperamental and passionate culinary interpretation gain a unique character and inspire the cooks to try extra ordinary combinations. We are trying our best to develop the taste of Polish cuisine by adding new ingredients and culinary compositions which are unusual for it. For that reason Farina serves also seafood: oysters, shrimps, bivalves, crabs and octopus. This is precisely our own idea of cuisine in Farina Restaurant.

I have visited Krakow on numerous occasions and I am always most impressed with the restaurants even the ones on the main square which you would expect to take their business for granted . However this one was recommended by the receptionist at Hotel Stary ( another excellent place) .

I arrived mid afternoon slightly frazzled by a business trip . Obviously not that busy because of the time of day but a lovely setting and I would imagine the evening there would be delightful . The staff were extremely pleasant and very helpful with specific requests . As one of the the other reviewers mentioned the wine was excellent and reasonably priced. The food was superb and you could not really fault it . Clearly a lot of care and attention had gone into its preparation .

I cannot wait to visit again and would recommend this to other travellers.

Four of us ate at this restaurant on Thursday 21st August 2014.The restaurant is situated near Florian Gate, walking distance from the main square in Krakow. The menu is varied and the price about the same as the main square. An interesting building and the service is excellent, very professional. There is a good range of fish dishes as well as meat and traditional Polish. The bottle of claret was top quality at a competitive price. An enjoyable occasion and experience

Visited on a Wednesday night. Did not book and restaurant nearly full so probably better to book. Two large rooms which are buzzing when full but as they empty atmosphere goes with it and the back room we were in lacks warmth when only a few tables occupied.Fish menu good and varied and freebie starter of some nice bread and I think mushroom and garlic pate-Let down by very soft bread sticks. Service good but not special and we all enjoyed our fish meals as it is not the traditional Polish fare. My Pike/Perch was delicious as a main course. Not as cheap as other restaurants and bill nearly double that of other meals we had.

We found this restaurant while walking down one of the quieter streets near the main square; we only stopped since we remembered seeing this high on the list of recommended restaurants in Krakow. Everything was perfect! The only dish I would not recommend is the lobster over tagliatelle. While it was delicious (but no different than the same dish had elsewhere), the other fish dishes at the table (we shared) were some of the best seafood dishes I have tasted. Go for the ecclectic seafood such as the salmon ravioli.

Visited for slow, cool lunch. Beautiful setting with simple rooms and layout. Ate grilled vegetables followed by lobster and tagliatelle. Everything just delicious and wonderful service.
