Just returned from a great four day stay at Hotel David. Clean, comfortable rooms, great breakfast and pleasant, helpful staff. Lovely quiet area and some super restaurants just around the corner. Would definitely return!
We stayed at the Hotel David for a second time from Feb 2nd -6th, this hotel has everything you need for a city break, clean comfortable rooms with a free safe,tv and tea/coffee making facilities, great breakfast and excellent staff, anything you need just ask and they will go out of there way to help, we love the area the hotel is in as its only a short walk from some of our favourite Krakow bars, we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking a hotel in the Kazimierz area..

First of all, we got lost on our way back from the airport (our fault entirely!) and we called the hotel, they ordered us a taxi straight away! As soon as we got there, they treated us wonderfully, the whole place heated, which is lovely coming in from the cold! The rooms are lovely, very damask! Very clean and tidy! The breakfasts had a wide selection which was very good, hot and cold food! The staff are wonderful, especially Anna! She saved our bacon when we forgot our return boarding passes, printed them out happily! Overall, this is an amazing hotel. Very happy customers! We love you Hotel David!
We arrived at the Hotel David after 2 fantastic nights in Zakopane. We chose the Hotel David because of its high marks on Tripadvisor and we liked what we saw on their website. However, I had also noted a detrimental comment from a previous guest who was moved to the hotel next door because of 'plumbing' problems in their room. After two nights the 'problem plumbing' was repaired and the guests spent their 3rd night at Hotel David. They stated that they suspected there was no 'plumbing problem' and they felt their room had been slept in the previous night. When we arrived to book into our two double rooms, we were informed by a very convincing receptionist that our rooms were flooded by a water leak and we were transferred to the same hotel next door, which was a complete dump. We complained and were then transferred to the slightly better Hotel Regent a few hundred meters away. I returned to the Hotel David and asked to see the flooded rooms to establish whether or not there was a genuine problem that prevented us from staying there. I was politely told that it was not possible and I was also informed that the hotel manager was not available. This made me extremely suspicious which increased when I noted that 2 double rooms at the Hotel David were available on the internet for the same two nights at a price of over $500! I went through the internet booking process up to the point of actually giving my credit card details, which makes me think it was our two rooms that were being made available at a vastly increased price. However, I cannot prove that this
was the case so I shall leave readers of this review to make up their own minds.
Made the mistake of booking here instead of the Metropolitan Boutique where my relatives were staying to save a few quid. Room (single on top floor) was clean and tidy but very small, as was the 2'6" bed (the pictures on their website have been distorted to make the room and bed look bigger). Also lift only goes to 3rd floor whereas room was on 4th - not a problem for me but could be for some and was not mentioned until check-in. Breakfast was included and was plentiful but poor quality. Wish I had paid the extra £10 a night for the Metropolitan which only 4 minutes away was a world apart in terms of quality and comfort. Would suit couples/twins on a budget (and the drunken youngsters that kept me awake most nights) but for me it was not ideal. Not great value, although the location is good.
