I stayed here for 4 nights for a long weekend break as a base from which to explore Krakow, Auschwitz and the Salt Mines. The location really is exceptional. You are right next to the main train station which you can easily get to the airport, Auschwitz and other cities in Poland (I caught the high speed train to Warsaw from here). There is a bit of noise from the railway but not so it bothered us and we had no trouble sleeping. The rooms are a decent size, not what you would call generous but very acceptable. Room and bathroom very well maintained. The staff were lovely and always on hand to help with anything. Free breakfast was good quality - one of the better ones I have had in a hotel of recent days. Very homely feel to the hotel as it's in a nice period building. Area feels very safe. Really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely return.

Went to krakow with my girlfriend for the weekend! She wanted to your Auschwitz! Bought package through easy jet & the staff were brilliant! Done the trip through the company who done the transfer not the one recommender by hotel which was more expensive! Needed anything they sorted it at reception! Breakfast was relaxed and calm and the rooms were clean, tidy and quite spacious! Brilliant for a weekend away!

Walked from the train station and it was super close. It is noisy with the train but not too bad. The service was not over the top by any means....just kind of get it done. Not warm or helpful at all. Just filled with clock-watchers....they could definitely take some customer service classes but overall clean and efficient.

We got a deal on booking.com with a cost of 188 zł for a couple with a 2 year old.

The hotel gave us a very nice room and provided a baby bed for free.

Location: convenient. This is about 7 minutes walk from the Kraków Główny (main train staion). the drawback is that you need to climb over a bridge which has steps so can be a minor problem if you, like me, have a heavy suitcase on wheels. The road after this is short, but was being renovated in November, so a minor inconvenience.

This is only about 5 minutes from the outskirts of the old town (Stare Miasto) and totally it would take you 12 minutes to get to the center of the old town (Maria Cathedral, Kościół Mariacki). You are close to trams and buses as well.

The hotel check in: this was quick and friendly. Ahead of us there were a Japanese couple who spoke little English, but the reception staff was friendly and helpful and helped them get checked in quickly.

The room: This is large for the price, clean and very well designed. The beds are good and you have a pull out couch as well.

Wi-fi: wi-fi is free, but remember to ask at the counter for the password.

Breakfast: A breakfast buffet is included. This is standard Polish breakfast fare (not continental, but closer to a full English) -- you have sausages, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, bread, butter, jams, jogurt, fruit , cornflakes and cake as well as juices and tea/coffee.

Staff: the staff was very friendly. When we checked out and needed help with our child, they were helpful and friendly.

DRAWBACKS: There are two drawbacks, related -- this hotel is right next to the train tracks, so there is noise. it's not as noisy as we feared, but there is noise. The second is that it is at the end of a quiet street, so inexperienced travellers may be disquieted, however note that it's pretty safe (we came back at 11 pm one night and no incidents at all)

Room Tip: As for a room on the top, 4th floor. This has skylights and the windows tace upwards, so lesser noi...

Handy for railway station and Old Town. Had room on railway side which lead to noise and some vibration. Some may find this annoying but was not to us.
Hotel looks much better on the inside that the outside, so do not be put off by exterior.
Breakfast was excellent, with attentive staff and wide choice. Reception staff were friendly and understood English.

Stayed here as a staff member on a school trip. The hotel is very well located near the centre of town, was very clean and had looked like it had been refurbished in the last couple of years. The staff were very helpful and the breakfast was fine. The proximity of the railway track at the side of the hotel was a problem in some rooms due to the vibration and noise, though my room was on the top floor and with then window closed it was OK.

Let me start with the positive news: it's a nice 5 min walk to the Old City and it's near the train station.

And the latter is also the first of the negative aspects. We probably had bad luck in getting a room on the 1st floor right next to the tracks, but I suspect the noise and vibrations of the trains are noticeable everywhere in the hotel. Moreover, the room was tiny tiny, the bed was very small, and the sheets even smaller. On top of this, the male receptionist was totally unfriendly.
