The room I had was pretty small, you could not swing a cat in there. What was annoying though was the bath room. Men need the toilet seat to stay up or the seat gets pissed on, and I am not going to squat, might be good for some of you, but not for me. Well, somehow these seats are engineered never to stay up. This creates a problem. The shower head is in a fixed position, i.e. when it is mounted, it will spray the water at only one height. I am 6ft and had it spraying the top of my head as the shower itself is small. And the way the doors are set up, this then makes it leak so there is now water all over the floor. The hotel is pretty though, but not practical. No elevator, so you have to kart everything up the stairs yourself.

Stayed at this hotel based on previous good reviews and cost. The hotel is located in the Jewish quarter about 25 min walk from train station and 20 minutes from the main square in krakow. The hotel was very clean, the room was a good size and each room appeared to be decorated by theme. We stayed in room 2 the music room. The hotel was quiet, breakfast was good and staff were pleasant.

My boyfriend and I stayed at Oberza Sasiadow for 4 nights over the 2012/13 New Year. We were immediately impressed with the place as soon as we walked into reception and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who spoke excellent English. We stayed in room 9 (which, if you look at the TripAdvisor photos, is the one with the round bed) - a gorgeous, spacious room with superb attention to detail in the decor. The bathroom is on the small side and has no bath, but the 'rain effect' shower was a delight. The only thing I would suggest would be to have a hairdryer in the room as this was not provided and, travelling light with only cabin luggage, was one thing I did not bring with me. The room was located right by the stairs so there was occasionally some noise from people going up and down, but nothing significant (especially considering it was New Year!)
Breakfast at the hotel was plentiful and tasty with a selection of breads, meats, cheeses and salads from which to help yourself, tea, coffee and fruit juices, and scrambled eggs with or without bacon, and frankfurter-style sausages brought to you fresh from the kitchen.
We ate once at the restaurant downstairs (see separate review) and were pleased to be given a 10% discount off our bill because we were residents of the hotel.
All in all this is a charming hotel that could very easily get away with charging double for the quality we experienced.

Room Tip: Some reviewers have mentioned that the rooms are small - perhaps other rooms are, but room 9 is in f...

I only found out about this place because the secretary of our Polish distributor had taken the photographs for the hotel website and said it was really lovely.
It is WAY better than you would expect for the money. The rooms are small, but beautifully done and the bathroom really cool. If this hotel were in London it would be £300 a night.
Apparently equally good restaurant next door run by the same people. I had a look in and it looked great but I didn't eat there.
Last time I was in krakow I stayed in 5 star place by the river. It was nice but this place was better and way way better value.
If you aren't camping, there is no excuse for not staying here!!!

I was somewhere nearby that was awful, and wandered in off the street. It is a charming, historical building with a wonderful staff, nice breakfast, beautiful terraces and a charming bedroom. The tiles in the bath and decor were great, and all is maintained to keep the look it had when it was built 100 years ago.

I will stay there any time I am in Krakow.

Room Tip: All the rooms have a theme. I was allowed to look at a few and pick. I liked room 11

After reading many reviews on hotels in Krakow we chose Oberza Sasiadow because of it's character and location. It is a charming hotel and the staff extends warm hospitality to it's guests. The hotel is in a great central location. We loved the neighborhood as you could easily walk to all the sights. The hotel is beautifully decorated with attention to details. We stayed 6 nights and could have stayed longer. Krakow is a very nice city with warm and friendly people. The restaurant at the hotel is excellent and very good value with professional and friendly staff. The rooms are fairly small but comfortable.Good breakfast each morning as well. I highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a small inn with character.

I chose this hotel based on location and price. I have been to Krakow twice before and know what amounts to value for money for a room. This B&B certainly fits the bill on both counts. Easy walking access to all parts of the city and a very good choice of places to eat at all prices ranges in the immediate vicinty. The breakfast was a typical European/Polish affair but the jewel in the crown for this place is the restaurant, now included in the Michelin Guide as recommended. We ate there the first evening and were not disappointed. A well presented, tasty and filling meal for a very reasonable price. We had a two course meal (Polish dishes) each with a couple of beers each for PZL 80. There is no need to pay silly prices in Krakow for good food.Yes the room we had was on the small side but it was very clean, cosy, with a well appointed bathroom, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Afterall on a city break how long do you spend in a room anyway? There are some small local shops nearby, afterall it is a normal residential area, and there is an ATM on the opposite side of the street. Wouldnt hesitate to recommend this B&B.
