“Delicious food, great service, lovely atmosphere.”
Reviewed 22 February 2012

Had Zurek soup to start (served in a bowl made of bread), the best sirloin steak I've ever had for a main, and a lovely hot apple pie for desert. All this, along with another soup, a pork dish and chocolate ice cream with hot cherries came to about £45. Great value.

Very impressed all round, must visit if you're in Ustron!

“Best restaurant in the South of Poland!”
Reviewed 20 January 2010

We've discovered this place completely by accident! We drove around Ustron looking for a nice place to eat as the hotel we were in didn't have good food. We saw a nice building redone completely from an old country cottage and decided to stop by. What a treat we got! The decor is very nice and inviting, there are 2 rooms for smokers and non-smokers (which is great as we don't smoke), there is a small gift gallery shop inside, and upstairs there are rooms to let. Food was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, we were extremely amazed to have found such an excelent quality in Ustron! We ordered many various dishes among us 4 (we couldn't help but sharing all we had, starters, main dishes and deserts). Each dish is beautifully served by friendly but professional waiters. It is not a typical Polish cuisine, as dishes are very light, it's more like a mixture of Polish and whatever is good out there in the world. They give you lovely breadsticks with dip before you start (free of charge) and each dish is just a poem. We spent a lovely Saturday evening there and came out more than happy. Beware of going there for Sunday lunch - we went there the next day and it was completely full. The waiters told us it would be 2h waiting (!!!) if we decide to stay. We did and we did not regret. On top of this there are tables outside in their little garden and a playground for children very well organized. Suited for families with young kids (which there were lots). It seems Sielanka is a well known secret among not only locals. We since then came back there several times and I must say that the cuisine is as fantastic as it was the first time we tried. We went there later for a weekend break and we booked a room there upstairs. Room was spacious and clean with big bed, nice bathroom. The best part of the stay was breakfast in the morning served downstairs in their restaurant. An absolute perfect breakfast - everything served by the staff, but plentiful and big choices of breads, eggs, salds, yoghurts, musli, meat, hot and cold, juices. Really nice!
Big congratulations to the owners and the chef for the idea! You've created something extraordinary on the culinary map of Poland!
