Last month my husband and I spent a week at the Tatra Chalet. We had a wonderful experience.
The general manager , Grazyna was so helpful and welcoming. The staff were equally kind and helpful. The room was spacious , clean and comfortable. Easy access to good hiking within minutes of the chalet.

This is our second time at the Tatra Chalet in Zakopane and yet again it was amazing, even better than our first visit, which we didn't think possible. Great service, great food, friendly attentive staff, great room, all in a perfect setting of the beautiful mountains. We can’t say enough positives about Tatra. It’s a must to stay here when you go to Zakopane. we will be back again next year. Thank you Tatra Chalet.

We have come back from a trip to Zakopane and I have to say we are extremely pleased with the accommodation and service on offer in Tatra Chalet.
We had the ground floor room which we thought was big until we saw where our parents in law were staying on the top floor which easily could accommodate a family of 4 and some. We enjoyed the meals at the restaurant and although we arrived late in the evening for the first night we still could order some soup and light snacks. Food was excellent for our second night and we stayed in the restaurant until late. It was a bit too cold when we were there to use the outdoor space but I can imagine it would be lovely.
We used the jaccuzi and spa. Even though there were other guests (or maybe even full) this hotel is small enough to feel like you had the place to yourself.
In terms of location you are a short walk to the entrance for the National Park, secluded on a side road with ample parking and have a view on the Giewont peak. The staff gave advice on what walks to do nearby.
It's probably a good 30min walk to the town centre and possibly more on the way back because it's uphill - but in all honestly there is no loss there and taxi's are pretty cheap.
My family and I would definitely stay again.

My husband and I wanted to do some serious hiking in Zakopane. Based on other reviews, we booked here. We were so pleased to find the location away from the touristy part of the town, and so close to the beginning of so many great hiking opportunities. The staff was excellent here. Our room was beyond comfortable and lovely, with two balconies and a great view. The breakfasts are great with a hot option to order off the menu. We ate dinner here twice and enjoyed ourselves very much (with a good wine list also). There are also good restaurants within walking distance. The staff also prepared sandwiches and fruit for our hiking outings. We highly recommend a stay here!

Room Tip: We highly recommend Room 2.

My wife and I arrived at Zakopane bus station from Krakow on a drizzly afternoon....there was no information office and the first four cab drivers we asked had never heard of Tatra Chalet, maybe our pronounciation was not clear..but eventually we found someone who knew where it was situated. All changed for the best when we were met by Grazyna, the manageress...gorgeous room and lovely bathroom. The walk into town is advertised as 20 minutes but we are both pretty fi and took 30 minutes..as weather had improved we took the funicular railroad up to the top of some mountain, great views,..dinner was marvelous, they have an excellent young chef who not only cooks very well but he really presents the food in a wonderful manner, he will go far! After a huge breakfast we hiked up to a waterfall, around an hour from the chalet, we then had a lovely fresh soup for lunch and unfortunately we had to leave. It was so quiet and for us it was so much more pleasant than staying in town..Ok the odd taxi ride for $5 but it was certainly worth it. Grazyna and her team are highly professional and it would be very difficult to find anything not to ones satisfaction..the only slight disappoint was there were no Polish wines on the wine list and we had drunk a pleasant Polish wine in Krakow the night before...we were told they were too young...but I would prefer to drink a not quite aged Polish wine than an Italian or French I can drink anywhere in the world.
Keep up the great work!

We've had an amazing stay at Tatra Chalet. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, the location was amazing, close to town center and very close to the entrance to the valleys.
The room was beautiful and very clean, bathroom was very spacious with a shower that could fit four! The White Company cosmetics and candles were a very nice finishing touches.
Having the curtains pulled in the evening and bed side lights switched on was a really nice touch.
Breakfasts were superb. The French Toasts were to die for.
Really enjoyed the stay and will definitely be back for longer!

We booked purely on the basis of TripAdvisor recommendations, and were not disappointed. This is a real gem of a hotel, with comfortable and spacious rooms (mostly in a 'junior suite' format), friendly and helpful staff, and lots of little touches of unexpected luxury - White Company toiletries, a choice of good champagnes (served in the room with complimentary canapés), and so forth.

Like other reviewers, we loved the distinctive selection of goodies at breakfast, the great bread and ultra-freshly squeezed juices. When we returned unexpectedly for lunch one day, the staff produced some delicious little cheese-and-ham open sandwiches, to be washed down with cold local beer in the sunny patio area. The strawberry margaritas are highly recommended! And the soups were uniformly good. The main weakness was that main courses were sometimes over-cooked and often (unusual in Poland) slightly lacking in flavour - a tad more seasoning or sauce would have helped. But that's a very minor flaw, wholly outweighed by all the plus points.
