+ the hotel is situated just next to a big shopping male (Victoria), you can even park your car there, so you don't need to worry about the parking places
+ nice rooms, very quite and extremely clean. Everythings was new there, so it maked an almost sterile impression
+ 5-stars hotel staff: well qualified and very friendly
+ delicious breakfasts: there was not very much choice, but everything was tasty there. I highly recommend the scrambled eggs with bacon, fruits and croissants

- the heating works very slowly and makes noise at night

Room Tip: Tip for winter: Switch on the heating for high temperature as soon as you come in and leave it worki...

This is completely new hotel just next to Victoria shopping centre. Very clean, extremely quiet rooms. Great, helpful staff. Modern look and good style of all network of Ibis Styles. One of the best hotels over Lower Silesia region.
very good starting point for lot of excursions both to polish and Czech places- Adrspach rocks, Karkonosze mountains, many castles.
Very reasonable prices - e.g. 45Eur per night for 4 persons family, including tasty breakfast.
You will not find similar deal easily.

In short: if you are travelling by car to Wałbrzych, or to Lower Silesia in general, and are looking for an inexpensive, comfortable place to stay for a night or two, look no further.

Long version follows:

ibis Styles is a brand devised by Accor (originally as "all seasons") for independent hotels seeking an Accor franchise, but too low-end to become a Mercure. They are usually compromised in many ways vs. regular standardized ibises, but as an upside you get free breakfast and WiFi.

This ibis Styles is a special case, because the hotel was purpose built in 2013 as a Holiday Inn Express, up to spec with all the most recent standards, fit-outs and amenities of the latter brand. Then, for some reason, the franchise was dropped and the hotel became an ibis Styles (according to the manager it was because the Holiday Inn Express franchise did not allow for the on-site restaurant they now have).

The upsides:
0. It is smashing value. When booking on a Tuesday, you get two weekend nights at the price of one (an ibis Styles thing, not only with this hotel), and the standard rates are already quite low
1. Relatively spacious rooms with REALLY good beds (two LARGE pillows per bed, one firm, one soft), a proper workspace, reasonably-sized bathroom and wall-to-wall windows
2. Good, broad selection of fresh foods in the breakfast buffet, there are even warm choices (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages) you usually won't get at HIExpress or ibis Styles
3. Reasonably competent, friendly and efficient staff
4. So far, everything is quite new, which is for the better with an economy hotel
5. One thing I love about new HIExpresses are their showers - rather spacious and with a proper door that really does its job, not some sort of curtain or something that does not really stop you from flooding the bathroom. Other fitments are also very comfortable.
6. Ample parking and the shopping centre right across it

The downsides:
0. WINDOWS WON'T OPEN and the aircon is noisy. I had no trouble sleeping, but some might. There is no street noise, on balance, at least on 4th floor, an the aircon is easy to operate and very efficient.
1. Getting to the hotel (and then back anywhere) by anything else than your own car can be a hassle, unless you consider the shopping centre's shuttle an option
2. You are in the middle of nowhere, you can only cross the parking lot for the shopping centre, otherwise you need, again, a car
3. WiFi does not work all that well for some computers in rooms farther from the elevator shaft
4. Shoddy worksmanship shows in places (this was certainly built on time and within budget), and it might start to result in problems down the road
5. As others mentioned, there is little storage space in rooms, so staying longer than one or two nights might not be that comfortable.
6. This is still an economy, business-oriented limited-service hotel. Many hotels will better it in many regards, but perhaps not at the price. And almost certainly not in Wałbrzych.

We've had a minor niggle during our two-night stay, when in the morning we discovered the hairdryer didn't work. Since those are affixed to the wall and the hotel has no "free" ones, we were quickly offered to dry our hair in another room by the chambermaid, and in the meantime the reception got us a new room. Therefore, we had the chance to experience three rooms in total, and they are really all to the same standard (except for one thing, see room tips).

Room Tip: Two thirds of rooms have large wall-to-wall windows that are great. Every third room has a narrow on...

Apparently the hotel has changed owner/name several times, from "Express by Holiday Inn" over "Express Hotel Walbrzych" to "Ibis Styles Walbzych". Therefore, difficult to find via search engines, maps and GPSs.
In fact, the invoice shows still the name "Express Hotel Walbzych".
The hotel still looks very new, rooms are comfortable for the class and the staff is very helpful. I had some minor problems with my room, which where solved immediately.
Good breakfast buffet with nice choice. Very slow coffee machine, too many buttons, difficult to understand how to use, buttons only tagged with Polish explanation. (I do have a fully automated coffee machine at home, I am used to different kinds and makes, but I had problems with this one).
Free Wireless is NOT available in all rooms, only in lobby area. In the rooms only LAN. You may get a free cable at reception, not helpful when travelling with a tablet ;-)
The rooms equipment is nothing special, no mini bar, and NO closet (no closed cupboard)! If you stay several days, all your belongings are openly in the room, or you have to keep inside your luggage. Not very practicable.
Bathroom small but functional and nice. Heating in the floor is very nice.
Overall: quiet place, close shopping centre with food court, good for fast dinners and quick shoppings. Value for money is good.

Originally built as the latest and best in the Holiday Inn Express chain, the hotel is light, very comfortable and modern. Beds are very good and great selection of pillows. Breakfast is also much better than other similar hotels. Wide choice and always fresh.
Now changed to Ibis as the owner wanted to provide a full restaurant service. Quality is still very good. Staff are helpful and friendly. We use the hotel a lot for business visitors. Positive feedback always.
The restaurant menu is not big, but food and service leave no room for complaint.
Location is next to the new shopping mall, Galeria Victoria. Every kind of shop, many cafes and open until nine in the evening.
For a stay in Walbrzych, a good sound choice.

The hotel is brand new , with beautiful modern spacious lobby and breakfast room. It has free internet and parking, delicious continental breakfast and suitable conference facilities. The rooms are very clean and cozy, with particularly comfortable beds, flat screen TVs and small sofa to be turned into bed. If i was coming back to Walbrzych again , this hotel would be my first choice.
