“Good hostel in convenient location”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

Plus: friendly and helpful staff. Good location, 15 minutes walk to city centre. Breakfast interesting, hot scrambled egg OR frankfurter sausage plus cold buffet breakfast. Tip - it there are 2 of you, one get egg the other sausage and share them.

Negatives: Local area a little run down. Parking not really secure, easy access from nearby derelict land. Thin mattress with plastic cover. Dining room is in cellar and very noisy/ echoing with a few people in it.

Road to the hotel is one way and turning into car park is on left side so don't drive past it.

Room Tip: Rooms at back face onto car park and rather dilapidated grounds but it is quiet.

I say surprisingly because I was not looking for anything fancy, and the price was not exorbitant, but it was far better than I expected. The street where the hostel is does not look like much, but you will find a newly reconstructed and a very clean place behind the main door. The location is really convenient, only 10 - 15 minutes on foot from the main station, and the city centre is at about the same distance in the other direction. The staff at the reception is kind, professional and ready to assist if you need.
I was in a room on the 3rd floor (there's a lift) for five, but we were only two there which was a luxury. I appreciate the spacious and clean bathroom.
For breakfast you can choose from sausages or scrambled eggs if you prefer something warm in the morn', or there's bread, cheese, jam, cereal etc. Just remember you're in Central Europe, so do not expect any fruit or vegetables (with the exception of the famous local gherkin:-)

The location was ok, strolling it takes 15 min to get to the city center.
There were the 5 of us in the room, so no strangers and it felt like being in an hotel. Comfy beds, new fourniture, enough room to hang out and on top of all this we had our own privte bathroom.
Not having strangers and having a bathroom in out room made us feel like we where in a hotel rather then an hostel.
The hostel must have been recently modernized cause everything looks new and clean.
They speak english and they helped us with cabs reservations and headsup for restaurant and clubbing.
There were groups of young friends and also families, overally it was quite and every room is well isolated!
We paid 60 euros for 5 night over new years eve, it was really cheap for the services it provides.

I arrived at Wratislavia very early in the morning, feeling sick :-(

ALL the staff there were beyond helpful and friendly. They were able to put me in a room straight away so I could take a shower and lie down. I ended up staying two nights and luckily had the whole room to myself. I love meeting new people and socialising, but not when I felt crook. Being low season helped.

The rooms are modern, very clean and the bathroom is spacious!

I can't fault their service at all (only that you'd have to keep logging in every time you wanted to connect to wifi). Breakfast is included every morning and laundry is cheap.

It's not a far walk from the town centre either. I chose this hostel because of it's proximity to the train station - an easy walk when you have heavy luggage!

For an incredibly fussy person, I loved it!!! Thank you for a great stay!

A well located, well furbished and very clean place! The staff was very friendly, spoke great English (it’s not as common as one might think), there’s free parking and a breakfast included (you have to clean up after you use the kitchen stuff, but I think that’s the best policy for a hostel). I got to stay at the apartment with an equipped kitchenette – the couch isn’t the most comfortable one in the world, but it suits well enough. Excellent value for money!

As for a hostel it felt really luxurious - everything was new and shining, the corridors, our room, bathrooms and even backyard. Everything was perfectly clean and it was very calm and quiet - no typical for hostels party noises in the middle of the night. Hot water with good pressure all the time and what's more - there's a bathroom in each room! We had a private free parking, which is not very common!
My only concerns are: poor breakfast (but for this price I'm surprised there was any, so I shouldn't complain!), not very comfy matress (but that depends - some like it soft) and noise from the street starting in the early morning. But if you manage to have a room from the backyard side and buy some snacks from one of the nearby shops - it will be just perfect! And did I mention it was a 10 mins walk from train station and about 15 min from the main square? My 2 well travelled roommates said it was the best hostel they've ever been to, so I think my opinion is not so subjective.

Room Tip: From the backyard side you won't have any noise at all, otherwise in the morning traffic noise c...

We arranged for a room with a balcony and it was perfect. Large bathroom, great water pressure, beautiful room with exposed brick wall. Not your typical hostel. Breakfast was minimal (instant coffee) so we ended up second-breakfasting, but for the price it was perfect.

Plus great wifi and free parking.
